He needn't bother. This year's JG 'look' is baseball cap pulled down low, collars pulled up high.

Sun won't get anywhere near him.

... especially considering he'll probably sleep in each day and catch most of the test on the telly instead. :uhoh:

Not sure how, but have managed to catch the start of each day's play. Not sure why either, as we've been royally smashed by the convicts. Still, had to gave them a 1-0 lead last year to make a contest of it ;-)

Direct from the stands...(you know the tune)

Why on Earth are England playing when most of the team are woefully short of Match practice? Harmison should have been bowling 40 overs a game for the last month. Gilo, while he is our King, hasnt played in a year. And is he really worth it for the extra 20 or 30 runs he might give us over Monty? How many non one day games has Flintoff played in the last 6 months? two? three? Same with Jimmy Anderson. Part of the reason england were so awful is because they were pissing time away playing the ICC champions trophy.

Gilo's not our king, he's the King of Spain!

Don't the Pom fielders normally cop a bit of "Warney's shagged your missus, Warney's shagged your missus" when they trudge out to the rope?

I like the one the BA do to 'She'll be Coming Around the Mountain'.

"Get your shitty stars off our flag, get your shitty stars off our flag..."

High time for a re-design.

My Thought of the day:........ i wonder if the poms have left their hotel room this week, it has been over 35 degrees celsius all week in Adelaide, with a minimum last night(Wed Night), of 29 degrees celsius.

So if they havent melted yet, will they actually make it onto the field tommorrow :)

but looks like they have:

That's much better...Agree with Kershie that Collingwood (and/or KP) need to be totally focused on surviving early doors on day 2, especially after Pietersen getting out so early on last day of the last test... Still we needa fcuking big score to give our bowlers a chance to find some rhythm, while still having a fist innings lead... Almost wish they were getting tonked again - I really need some sleep this weekend...

Will be listening to 5 live extra for the first hour tonight. If we can get through the first session without loss, then we could be looking at a real contest.

just had to add my input: after spending most of yesterday afternooon and night hanging out with the Barmy Army, i have to admit, firstly, i dont think all english people are twats anymore,i had a bender of a night with them.

Whilst drinking at the Coopers Alehouse in Adelaide, i met a guy who claimed to be Mark E Smiths cousin (maybe he was, maybe he wasnt, who's to know), but when i put Joy Division's "LWTUA" on the video jukebok, i had a chilling sensation, watching 100 people sing and dance to it in the pub.

Great night Poms, thanks for the hangover.

I'll be listening to it in the car for much of the day.

I'm looking forward to some entertaining hours.

Kerry O'Keffe is a star.

The Aussies are just lulling the English into a false sense of security. I hope, nae expect normal service to be resumed tonight. England all out for 350. Aussie, aussie, aussie... :evil4:

Good on you Pommies for making some decent runs yesterday - I hate to see a one sided contest. Can't believe they wouldn't allow anyone to bring in a bugle to the ground. Old farts - no one is allowed to have any fun anymore.

I think cricket is boring these days compared to the days of Rodney Marsh, Dennis Lillie, Alan Knott etc........... These guys had much more character and a real sense of fun - but I suppose the same could be said for all sports these days - it's all down to money.

Anyway, let's hope this test at the beautiful Adelaide Oval turns out to be a cracker.

But, GO AUSSIES

England are currently 3/426 - bloody hell, didn't think they had it in them :D

Congrats to Paul Collingwood, currently 200 not out.

England are actually putting in a show.

And finally a wicket, collingwood out for 206.

551/6, that'll do for starters, now for the bowlers to show the courage of their convictions and remind the convicts who the boss is!

They don't call you Nostradamus for nothing, do they John?

Golden moment so far was the close up of Warney who gets Pietersen to mishit, looks over his shoulder hoping for a catch only to see the ball sailing over the boundary for six.

Big day tomorrow, hopefully the wicket will fall to bits (over-dry apparently) making batting nigh on impossible. Still can't understand Monty's omision though

GAME ON!

So much for a 5-0 whitewash eh?

Great to see Colly get a double century, after getting out in the nineties a few times of late. Ironically, he's the least naturally gifted batsman we have, but he's a gritty bugger. :thumb:

England all out for 129 on the last day.

Australia are going to win this on one day of play.

WOW! What a match!!!!!!!!!!!!

I seriously thought yesterday it would be a drawn match. England made the most stupid mistake by not declaring earlier.

2-0

Guess old Nostradamus wasn't so far off after all in foreseeing the English collapse. Right outcome, wrong day.

What a win by the convicts!

That one's made up for the despair of Edgbaston.

Couldn't decide whether my golden Pietersen moment was when Warney knocked him over for two in the second or when he threw down that 7-run clanger in the Aussie run chase.
