- Same for me - Hagler vs Hearns
- Hagler vs Minter
- Leonard vs Duran when the latter literally threw in his towel because of Leonard's showboating.
Benn vs Eubank was also a good ruck. Also Eubank vs Watson also sticks in my memory, watched that in Easterhouse, Glasgee. Also the Bruno fight against Tyson in early 89.
Can't think of many fights that get my interest now.
Duran v Ray Leonard - brawl in Montreal
Hopkins v Trinidad
Morales v Pacquiao (sp)
Mickey Ward has had a few crackers too. can't remember who against though

Calzaghe has given up his belt to fight that fella from the contender. hope he batters him. time is running out for Joe. must say it was a sublime display v Lacy.
don't like the heavyweight division. only middle, welter, bantam or thereabouts.
it was only for the WBU Light Welterweight, but Andy Holligan v Shea Neary at Stanley Park in Liverpool in 98 will long live in the memory. Neary won.
a classic bruiser in a tent between a red and a blue.

- Erik Morrales v Marco Antonio Barrera I 2 Hagler v Hearns 3 Benn v Mclellan
Fights based on intensity, and both fighters being in the fight, being well matched, with the drama of not knowing which way the fight is going to go..and still its subjective.I could probably pick any 3 from 20 out of this world duels, but my No 1 would still be Barrera V Morrales from 1999.Surely there has never been a better fight.
Best performance by a fighter would throw up completely different fights, maybe too one sided to be a truley great fight... i.e. Ali V Cleveland Williams,Calzaghe V Lacey

Mickey Ward fought a classic trilogy with Aurturo Gatti. Ward also gave yer man Neary a pasting in another good one.

yeah Jimmy was a decent pro. Mickey was way too good though.
my man was Holligan though. Jimmy is a blue.

Barrera slapping Hamed from the first bell was funny as fuck - reminded me of the way Foreman pounded Frasier.
Personally I loved the Benn versus Eubank fights, I fucking hated Eubank, but the fcuker could fight, and has been mentioned above some of the other fights around this era with Watson, McLelland & Collins were a joy to behold as well ![]()
Earliest memories for me are the Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Minter & Leonard era. My memory isnae the greatest with a few of these fights, but if memory serves Sugar Ray Leonard did a version of the Ali shuffle didn't he?
Only two for me:
Ali v. Frazier in Zaire, "Rumble In The Jungle" Aw, the days when the highlights from the fight were a bunch of still photographs on the late news.
Buster Douglas v. Tyson in Tokyo. Had a big get-together to watch this one, everybody, in their own inebriated state, was rooting hard for the underdog. An amazing moment.
