Good:

"Do They Know It's Christmas?" - Band Aid (my favorite) "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" - Barenaked Ladies "Last Christmas" - Wham! (Go ahead - shoot me) "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" - U2 "O Holy Night" - Tracy Chapman

Plenty of classics, as well (Carpenters). I do enjoy Christmas music.

I think almost all of them except for the Pogues' effort and White Christmas are shite.

You can't go past a good Carol for the season. Favs here a Stille Nacht (Silent Night), Oh Holy Night and Jingle Bells.

Surprisingly:

Good songs -- "She won't be home" by Erasure "Let It Snow" by Bing Crosby

Another vote for the Pogues, honourable mention to Eartha Kitts version of Santa Baby, sung how it's meant to be sung.

Good:

White Christmas - Otis Redding (all other versions suck ass) Merry Christmas Saint Nick - Beach Boys Sleigh Ride - Ronettes Christmas (Please Come Home) - any artist (it's unable to be ruined even by the Bono One)

Worst:

Winter Wonderland - every single version ever recorded Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer (it's okay until you get past the age of five) Any Christmas album ever done by someone on the downward spiral of the career path

The Pogues by far, though I still enjoy Father Christmas by The Kinks, Thanks For Christmas by XTC (err, The Three Wisemen) and the Captain Sensible one (can't recall the title).

Hate Wonderful Christmastime and the Eagles song.

That is THE and only Christmas song I would ever consider listening to, full stop - I love it.

Christmas pop songs really freak me out. I went to a very small office part at work on Friday and someone decided to play a 'Best of Xmas Songs' CD. For some reason it was totally embarrassing, as embarrassing as if one of the old lecturers had got his knob out and slapped in into the sausage rolls.

Actually, just remembered - this one is pretty decent too.
