Romania joins the EU in 2 weeks. They still have to get work authorisation from the UK govt tho... but she's already got work authorisation to touch her bum etc? no?

I'm sure it's easier to marry a uk national...

That's a good point, I've seen the buggers "working" here from day one, surely ilegally....and same goes for a lot of foreigners....reckon Madge had permission to work here when she did the Hacienda? Then again, did the Beatles have green cards when they did the ed sullivan show ( I nearly said "when they did ed sullovan" they remembered what site this was)

Probably. You need to fill in forms and stuff to get an American to work over here, even if it is to work as an underdressed, squeaky singer.

One of the requirements on the forms you fill in is to demonstrate why a resident of the UK couldn't carry out the work.

I hope Factory did complete the paperwork for Madge and I hope it comes to light one day. I can imagine Wilson having a field day giving sarky answers to all the daft questions.

If anyone did Sullivan, it was Epstein :nod:

yeah but for a gig...especially with an as of yet not so famous singer...it's easy enough to get over on a visitors visa and just do your thing and leave.
