not a bad thread this, well from what i could gleen from it.
must admit im with the doc on this, the universe(our planet included) does its own thing, and if you want to be along for the ride its gonna be a bumpy one.
now see that global warming? imagine it as the school yard bully (try it),you know, the one everyone was scared of at school, and the very same one that we are all being stealth taxed on.
now most school bullies have a sidekick, usually a little cunt that would stir up trouble and hide behind the bully.
ENTER THE THREAD, "E.M.DEGREDATION".
well we are talking doom n gloom so lets chuck this little swine in n all eh.
the boffins that have been studying the earths em field have noticed a distinct drop over the last 50 yrs orr so in the fields strength.
this field helps to protect good ol earth from harmfull solar radiation ect.
so basically if it packs up we are fucked.
its currently being summised that our own use of electricity on the planet itself is somehow having an effect on our sheild so to speak.
some scientists belive that something similar had happened to mars loooooooong ago , hence most of its atmosphere has been blown away, but as yet there is no solid evidence that mars even had an em feild similar to earths ect.
so there you go,if global warming dont get yer the solar radiation will.
so if i could give you one piece of advice for the future SUNSCREEN would be it.
Well, the Earth can shut the fuck up on that one, FFS, it's an impossible thing anyway....a self exciting dynamo.
But, surely this is just related to the poles being about to flip back round? if you check the records at the mid atlantic ridges, they show that we are SERIOUSLY overdue a pole flip....and before the magnetic field can reverse, it must fade.
I refuse point black to accept the a few megawatts of radio transmissions and a few gigwatts of power cables can even be measured through the electromagnetic battering we get from Sol day in and day out.
Still, the planet has runn with shields down in the past, and we're still here.....and the chicks will love it, they can lie around and get their skin ruined all day every day...well in fact they'll get a nice "tan"[1] in about 4 seconds flat
[1]OK, so it will be a slightly different kinds of radiation burn to the one they usually pay to get, but hey, they'll still turn reddish brown.
