re: thread name--

Chrissy's oft-uttered phrase to random male passersby: "Please make sticky" (said while accentuating breasts, arse, cooch, etc. in broad pantomime for melodramatic effect).

Oh Chrissy, you have a way with making things sticky already.

Haven't you got an iphone yet? The'yre great. You can make a phone call on it and even listen to MP3's too. If you're lucky you might get the internet on it but then the batteries will pack up and it has to go back.

apparently for it to work on my phone I need to overclock it. or something which sucks. Also, it stinks that I can only use it on wifi or g3 not edge or gprs which is what my phone does.

I mean.. I can use it on wifi at work and home when I figure out how to overclock it tho.. and that's kinda cool.

SKYPE: Two Swedish businessmen invested into an Estonian research unit and voila - they came up with Skype. Great thing to talk free with our foreign friends and relatives thru the Internet.

I've installed it, but got no handset.

I have one (1) Skype buddy.

It's meant to have usable echo cancellation, so you could try it with your speakers and a gooseneck mic.

BTW, if buying a headset or handset...buy USB, pissing around with the system mixer to set up through a soundcard is highly sub-optimal

:nono: I;m not.

It's bad enough with the stupid mobile and house phone ringing with stupid sales calls all the time.

The last thing I want is another phone.

But having to switch sound card each time you wish to use the headset is a pain in the ****

I don't use Skype.. used it once with Almanso, 2 foreign guys talking to each other in english sounded very funny... though now I have a headset, it could be more useful.

I think she's telling us that her Skype name is "please make sticky."

Change sound card?

Nope!

You just tel SKYPE to use the USB one and leave windows set to use your usual one. This PC has more than a few sound devices you see, and in a massive break with MS tradition, XP actually deals with that.
