Apparently.

Tour throughout the year. Not sure on the lineup but there is also the possibilty that there might be new material.

It'll be nice to see Tim Booth admit that his post James career has totally bombed.

so does this mean they could be playing manchester vs cancer?

Good news. Leaving on a high is stupid - they could milk it for ages yet.

The last tour was brilliant and spawned a classic DVD.

One of my favourite bands of all time.

Make my wee wee white

When did they originally jack it in? Last of them i can recall was the She's A Star single in 97.Never had much of a problem with em.Early stuff form 85 didn't really float my boat and i got sick of that bloody Sit Down tune at times but they did some good songs.Never spent a single penny of my hard earned cash on them but they were alright

Great band whom I'd love to see live again (still remember their Glastonbury performance where they played "Sit Down" and everyone sat down - I *think* it was the first 'tour' that people did that?).

Just going to put on "Getting Away With It (All Messed Up)" on my iPod before going to bed - superb track! :)

I've got that live DVD at the M.E.N Arena and I was there with the ex-wife that night.Amazing gig especially when he walks around the stands singing amongst the crowds. What happened to the acting career then? A cameo JUDAS and a non-speaking part as a loony in BATMAN BEGINS and he's thrown in the towel!

Never liked them myself, one or two ok tunes but that was it. Sorry!

Never really a fan, though dread to think the amount of times I've seen them.

They were support at my first New Order gig, and had also seen them support the Smiths perhaps six months earlier.

Those t-shirts though. Got fcuking everywhere!

Indeed. And "What's the World" is probably in mine. And "Folklore" for that matter. Plus "One Man Clapping" is the best live album ever. Went a bit shite after that, mind....

Great news,if true..Wait tell I tell Mrs BRF,I'll probably get head and everything :jump:

Seriously fantastic live outfit IMO,I don't even mind Tim Booth coming the cunt..Great singer, and musically great the band are too.

Totally different entity live than to the studio stuff, who got better and better.Expressed non more so than in the farewell 'Getting away with it' DVD a few of us here rave about.

Ere Biggy, lets hope we 'dooooon't wait that long!' :thumb:

A classic singles band as proved by their greatest hits but the albums were always 6/10 affairs

I've never seen them play live. Remember being on holiday in Blackpool in 1990 when James were doing 2 nights at the Empress Ballroom, couldn't get tickets for love or money though.

Just so happens I have the best version in the world of that song..I'll send it ya via email,if you want. Fuck me I'm feeling kind today! Tis a classic version:nod:

Edit: Liam, I'm about to tell her indoors in about half an hour. Tis straight up this,is it? She will think I'm yanking her chain, like I have done a few times about James reforming.I'll have to show her this thread. Boy who cried wolf, me!

Hope you have this right matey :thumb:

I got the information from the guy who runs Tim booths official website. I dont know what tour dates they will be doing. I do know they've been approached to headline a mid sized festival- which i imagine would be Guilfest. Nothing confirmed yet though.

It wouldnt surprise me to see them do a big gig in Manchester rather than trot round the festival circuit. Probably at the Cricket ground like New Order, Morrissey and Richard Ashcroft have done.
