First album was ace and the last one was ok.
Dunno why this band get so much slagging on this site, there are far worse bands out there than The Killers!
They were great on the Brits last night, though I am disappointed the drummer shaved off his tache, he was a dead ringer for Earl Hickey with it 
To talk honestly, the first thing I learned about them is that they covered Joy Division.
Reading your posts, I have seen that a lot of you think they are overproduced... so, no luck that they are to seduce me.
My ex went to the MEN on Saturday night. He said they were brilliant. At the encore they said they were doing a track by Manchester's finest band and played Shadowplay.
I'm going to see them in Aberdeen on Wed night.
Looking forward to it, I suppose. Especially now I know they'll do a JD song (unless they *gulp* change their set list!)

Somebody should kill the Killers. Unfortunately, it's probably too late already, as they have most likely finished recording a song for the soundtrack of "Control."
I got woken up by the killers this morning (on wogan's radio show that is) I didn't recognise the song and the voice wasn't the familiar fat bob impression. in fact, I actually thought it was chris de burgh. such was the abject failure to pitch in a pleasing fashion.
but I do actually like some of their tunes....

It's interesting to see a few people saying this. I've read three reviews saying album two is better than album one...

It's the overhyping that really pees me off about them- they aren't a bad group, but there's nothing special about them...

Er no. Actually I've spoken to several people who went and they all said it was blinding. I last saw the Killers about 2 years ago and they were brilliant then too.
They were fantastic in the Academy. But all i said that that everyone i'd spoke to said their version of Shadowplay was rubbish. I've not spoken to anyone about the full gig.
Incidentally, will Kaiser Chiefs cover a song by "the greatest band out of this city" and go into a version of "Anarchy in Timperley" by Frank Sidebottom?
I saw them in Aberdeen on Wed night and thought they were, frankly, crap. Just couldn't see any evidence of talent, that Flowers guy can't sing and the version of Shadowplay is pointless. They seem to have a massive sequence track and just mail in guitar performances over the top. The drummer is a bit of an animal, but nothing special.
I was quite dissapointed as I've always enjoyed seeing them at festivals. Perhaps they don't suit indoor venues.
Or maybe they're just shit.

He's probably been reading the comments on this forum unknown to the rest of the band and was a bit hurt by my earlier comment about them having "ridiculously stupid moustaches".
The Killers are so gash it's untrue.

The Kaiser Chiefs are a bit gash too - they have this annoying habit of coming out with really irritating singles. But even they're not as awful as Foghorn Cremehorn and his YMCA Springsteen wannabe extras. 
I liked what I heard from their first album but I haven't heard enough from the new one to comment on that.
