sounds very very similar to the early new order demo...the one with steve morris on vocals.
the best version imo is the demo with ian curtis singing...have you guys heard that one? joy division at their peak.
Speaking as someone who's never been a fan of covers: and who normally considers JD/NO covers sacrilege ![]()

!
Fuck me, and blow me over with a feather.
That was OK: in fact, I'd even go as far as "all right". Well done! Only thing is (but this may be the very reason I found it "likeable") it doesn't vary much at all from the original. So what's the point; apart from paying homage? Don't you think covers should bring out something new, or make you re-evaluate a song?
But well done mate, probably the best JD/NO cover I've heard!
Yours in absolute fucking amazement! MIMX

huh? Thanks? i think wait until you hear our next song then
Naw, really mate yours is the best JD/NO cover I've heard (IMHO). Just listened to 4 Nine Inch Nails/Bauhaus Joy Division covers that are on the "Digital Republic" thread; and they are bloody awful! I've also got a cover of "Love Will..." by The Cure that I can just about bear, but your Ceremony is better.
But...back to the criticism, constructive I hope, don't do any more covers. The reason I love JD/NO is because they sound like nobody but themselves (like all the best bands, their own sound/vibe not jumping bandwagons/anyone else's train). Develop your own sound, and you could end up with a decent band on your hands. Best a' luck.

Man, you really got to hear our other songs we do have our own sound, trust me......Ceremony we do for kicks live and we recorded it for kicks to....we have over 16 orignal songs
Checking out your "Myspace" right now.
Definite plus for the name!
1st impressions: can hear the JD/factory (ACR) influence and also reminiscent of Gang of Four, don't know about the other influences you cite? Bunnymen, no to my ear (lost count of the times I've saw the Bunnymen, a band I love, they were brilliant live). But I'll be keeping an eye/ear open, interesting wee find, cheers mate.

Maybe you should give Community 2 a try then, because you seem to only listen to crappy covers!
Turn by Glasnost and ICB by C Bentley are the perfect examples of what a cover should be. Take the song, make it your own.
if you like a cover done like the original, then check Re : Order... that's what they do!
not bad not bad, needs the tempo quickening though and the bass is too low whilst the guitar is a bit too up front, and the vocal whilst eeerrie ian like are again too low.
minor stuff that can be sorted, keep it up spikey.![]()
