NEW BLOC PARTY ALBUM

It is the feature album on JJJ this week. So far I dunno. Today I've decided to listen to the Order instead of the radio. I think that says something.
no clue. but i have discovered a new arcade fire album that fell off the back of a digital truck.
I've listened to 5-6 songs so far and it's not a huge departure from the sound of the first album - maybe not as tight and frenetic, but still very much Bloc Party. I'll have to give it a bit longer before making my mind up, but it doesn't suck, put it that way.
still trying to decide. I tried listening t o it at work today and couldn't stand it but I've been listening to too much wacked out shit lately. I'm not a fan of the over production although it's not too far off from the last production wise. I'll throw it on again tomorrow morning... For the last week it's been all about Of Montreal for me but I need to give it a break.
so am i the only one who's heard the new Arcade Fire?
oh, and yes. the new broc party album is BORING. More so than their first, which made me yawn.
I've heard the new Arcade Fire 'Neon Bible'. On first impressions, not as instantly good as Funeral, seems a lot happier and fuller in sound though.The re-recording of No Cars Go is top as is the new single Intervention. Will have to listen to it a bit more to fully appreciate it.
The new Bloc Party stuff is poorer than the Silent Alarm stuff in my opinion - don't fancy The Prayer at all, an awful song

The Prayer is the worst song of the album dont know why they thought it was a good choice for a single im still not sure about it either the first listen i thought yukk and the second listen i really got into it so still unsure........ oooooo new order on video hits :)

well i really like the new bloc party album, not as good as silent alarm but then again i wasn't expecting it to be.. but it has some really great tunes on it. i'm like some of you lot that i think the prayer is one of the worst songs on it and was a really bad choice for first single... my favourite 2 are hunting for witches and song for clay... seeing them in manchester on valentine's day 
as for arcade fire, that's a good album too 
Personally, I'm psyched for the new album [as it has NOT been released in the States... yet].
When I get it and hear it I'll review it.

Loved 'Silent Alarm' though. That and the 'S.A.Remixed' album. Good stuff.
Curses, I'm so blond! I didn't even seen this and I posted a topic, lol. Someone sue me! I'm sorry, I don't even post often enough to start topics.. the albums great the prayer is ok, I think hunting for witches should have been the first single though. Definitely a more mellow, honest album I think. But I'm enjoying it more than Silent Alarm.
i think apart from 'Hunting for witches' and 'the prayer', the album is quite average.
I dont enjoy it as much as 'Silent Alarm'. Maybe ill stick to listening to 'Silent Alarm Remixed'.
