Hmm, I was on one of those planes that tried to land in that! -5C maximum today with the odd flurry of giant hailstones so bring yer brolly!

i was in toronto when all the power went out in north america.radiohead at the ampi-theatre was cancelled

off to tenerife in may for a week then saving hard for either oz or canada,maybe back to florida funds permiting.

Cutting back this year; thought I'd just go Roundthebend in May, and then Thereandback in July. Might stretch to Turkey and Tinsel in Torquay though..............

where is a good place to vacation by oneself?

I'm going down south to Aruba over the March break with my family. Should be fun 8) And over the summer I might go driving through the Eastern part of Canada...not sure if I'm looking forward to that because I don't think there's much to do. Oh well...

Yep - driving was brutal on Thursday. Snow, freezing rain, more snow. I'm about a 40min drive from Toronto. It's much nicer today, a balmy -3C (tee-hee). It's supposed to go up to +3C by Thursday. Watch out for falling ice:Police Shut Part Of Gardiner Over Falling Ice Fears

Honestly, it's not always so cold over here - it can get quite toasty in the summer.

The convention centre is right underneath the CN tower - there's a "skywalk" between its two parts and it was like that scene in The Day After Tomorrow where the giant hailstones start falling...

Toying with the idea of a US tour at the moment for September, we'd go to New York, Boston, Chicago, Nashville, Vegas, LA and San Francisco (and of course to catch up with some of the guys from here who live in those places). It's either that or Australia for a couple of weeks, and maybe the Caribbean in the New Year once everyone's come back after Christmas and the prices get down to normal again.
