Jessies.

Glad to hear yer all still alive though :viking:

I take it that means you're coming next year to show us how it's done?

It honestly wasn't violent, just loads of passion on and off the park. And a little bit of unruliness at times.

The marshals just let it all go on and the firemen put out the worst of the fires. We should send them over to Liverpool for the next Summerpops!

Expect photos some time soon - I've taken HUNDREDS.

Col's 6ft4 (at least) and 'big in oil' so both v.big and v.clever, though I've no idea where you think he's mentioned football violence at all in his piece?

Oh, unless it's in reference to the banner of opposing teams? Very strange that. It appeared to be a 'family tree' of clubs affiliated to Partizan, clubs who Red Star hate. Newcastle were listed (had heard them and Parizan supposedly have 'links') and the likes of CSKA and Marseilles, but right in the mixer were SHREWSBURY! Why on earth would Red Star hate Shrewsbury, or indeed Partizan's Grobari fans have links to them? Answers on a postcard please.

Just got back. Cracking weekend away, as ever. Special mentions to Maya for setting the wheels in motion and for Col for bringing all the factions together.

And if I ever see a plate of meat again in my life, it'll be too soon..

So, probably not a great place for me to go to, then?

As for Shrewsbury, God knows why they hate them? If you want to wind someone up from Shrewsbury, the best way to do it is to ask them how to pronounce "Shrewsbury" - two different methods, and very easy to wind up depending on how they pronounce it!

Top weekend :thumb:

Those Red Star Delije on the North Curve are going to be well upset when they realise what the final score was

Red Star were played off the park but they never stopped singing, whatever was going on in the game :shades:

And we got a Serbian rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone

Other highlights were the ? resturant where you didn't have to order anything, they just brought out what they wanted you to have  and a bar where you didn't have to bother with all that going to the toilet every 10 minutes rubbish :eek3:

When's the 07/08 fixture list out? :smoking:

Been asking the same question on a Shroosbree board.

They're just as confused, though think it might be cos of their own possible links with Newcastle, who in turn have alleged links with the Grobari.

Guilty by association, if you like!

The flag in question, with the aforementioned teams bottom left.

Superb weekend.

Can't wait for the pictures and video clips.

Cheers Maya and Col for all the organising.

Given that we were court-side for the basketball, I can't help thinking that there were close ups of us lot calling for TIME-OUTS during the game on live TV :thumb:

BTW- it took me 26 Hours to get from Belgrade to my front door :\ohwell:

I watched the whole game on telly the next day.

We were behind the cameras so we didn't get shown.

Bane took a great picture of us all though - we all looked awful!

Can't think why :uhoh:

Bit strange - although both nationalist groups, The Red Star Delije Ultras do have more links with foreign right-wing fans such as Verona(Front),Lazio(Irriducible) and Ferencvaros(Bupadest). Anyone remember 92' when 'Arkan' got involved with Red Star etc.. or their recent (ish) run-ins with Leicester City Partizan do have right-wing elements but nowadays tend to attract a mainly left crowd, and thus the sympathy/links with Toon, Sofia, Marseille. Mentioning Shrewsbury Border Fringe is just stupid, i believe it gives them some suppossed 'cudos' (which it doesn't) Propa football - well done lads - i commend you on your trip :thumb:

Indeed, the racist element in their end on Saturday was disgusting. And it wasn't just a handful, it was the whole end. Who do they think they are? Spanish?

Red Star had a huge lumbering (and shite) centre-half from Cameroon and he got the monkey noises every time he touched the ball. How the fcuk he ended up there, I don't know? How would your agent sell that one to you?

Fair play to Red Star though, they did chant his name after one barrage of abuse from Partizan in the first half. Bit like 70's England, I guess - he's okay, cos he's our black, and not theirs.

Footage of the football!

Stick it out to the end and you get to see the Partisan's naked celebrations!

Amazing to see the match carry on despite all that going on in the stadium. Must be very distracting.

The Delija sound suspiciously like another bunch of mostly-male nutters that stand in a group, jump up and down and chant songs.

They're nearly as good at singing as them too :thumb:
