OK Computer

10 years old this spring, and still ahead of its time. A classic, best album of the 90's,and there were a lot of excellent ones. Hope they do one of those deluxe versions.

Brilliant album indeed though I much prefer The Bends.

I always thought that The Bends and Pablo Honey were better. All 3 are genuinely class albums, and Karma Police is one of those great get pissed sing along songs.

Radiohead however, never topped, and never will top Fake Plastic Trees.

I'm with Hooky Jnr on this one: surely they're just a bunch of arty pseuds?? Remember a mate telling me that he went to see them play live and they sampled the audience cheering and then - GASP! - fed the sampled noise back through the PA during the next song.

Like, fucking radical, man. Music for people who like "Q" magazine.

Nah. Pink Floyd were consistently dull. Even duller than Radiohead at there most dullest.

If we're talking similarities to Radiohead. bow down to the mighty Muse!

I think their a lot like, dare i say it "New Order". And im suprised they aren't liked on here more than they are.

i BOUGHT ABOUT 5 of their albums.There was a lot of hype with this group though and i was a reader of THE FACE,Q and suchlike at that time.Some of their songs are pretty novel but overhaul i still DON't GET them.Says a lot for the hype that i purchased so many and still not getting them.PINK FLOYD on the other hand did mean a lot to me.Although now i DON'T own DARK SIDE OF THE MOON any longer.But each to their own!Anyone like Right Said Frank?Great tribute band!

i am down with a slight bashing of radiohead, but leave muse out of it.

Don't mention how old it is. To me it seems like only a few years old......that only makes me feel old!:(

But youare right, great album....and still holds today.

Was into em quite a bit around 95- 97 .The Bends and OK Computer got a fair bit of play round these parts.Don't bother with them any more though

Not as consistent as The Bends,but love Paranoid Android,Karma Police and Airbag.

OK Computer was the best album of the 90's.....which says a lot about the other garbage released during that decade.

the bends was better, but pablo honey is completely pants.

seen them twice now & don't think will bother again, they're okay, i respect the fact they could have carried on releasing ok computer type albums but instead copmpletely revamped their style though

A bit like New Order, most of their albums are 75% great and 25% shite, with the exception of the first album which was the reverse (production reasons in NO's case).

OK Computer is probably second to the Bends for me in terms of Radiohead output, but I do like Kid A and Amnesiac as well. Can't listen to Pablo Honey, it is a very immature record, and Hail To The Thief is pretentious wank to me, they didn't know which way to go and ended up getting it wrong.

Still like the album. Still like Radiohead. Still think "My Iron Lung" rocks.

I think Radiohead was kinda ahead of their time in the 90s, actually...

i really like that song they did called Knifin' Around.

I knew a girl who thought Joy Divisions' Substance was extremely depressing, but she had no problem at all listening to Radiodead.

OK computer?Was today for me?I had an interview at the Jobcentre to get me back on JOBSEEKERS allowance.And the kind lady doing the interview says at one point"COMPUTER SAYS NO" on a jobsearch!LAUGH.......i nearly got a JOB!

Radiohead was clearly influenced by Joy Division in their first 3 albuns, though they don`t sound close to what JD did. I guess the difference is that JD is "class depression" and Radiohead is a bit "sissy depression"
