Someone I’ve known since I was 14 has become obsessed with me and it’s not even funny. I keep receiving those pathetic ‘where are you? why don’t you answer me?’ emails on a daily basis and I can’t help but freak out each fucking time!!

People tell me I shall ignore them by simply not replying cause I’m 2,000 miles away FFS and so I’ve tried my best, honest I have, but to no avail.

Even the members of my family often get distracted by phone calls from the said person always asking the same question over and over again whether I’m fine or hmm maybe not as if the person would prefer the latter as an answer for some unexplainable reason.

The distance has made me realize who my true friends are and although the person has not done anything really bad to me (yet!) except that I’m occasionally fuming and pissed, I must admit that I just don’t have the guts to say piss off. Not even via email.

So how do YOU solve a problem like Maria?

:Help: :(

Add them to the spam filter, so you never get the mail.....

I'll have a word with one of our new Serbian mates.

All we need is a name, you won't hear from her again.

If she's blonde and got big tits, then I'd just leave it. everything will be ok.

Politely explain that you are now living in another country and do not have the time or the inclination to use a computer ().

Don't ask that person any questions at all and just say you hope they have a nice life.

If that doesn't get the message across, give me your email details and I'll send the message for you!

As a matter of fact, I just did. I said I was tired of the person acting possessive politely explaining that if the person doesn't spend its free time in front of its pc at home, then why the fuck should I?

That's disrespect for my time. Full stop.

Who said they're still 2000 miles away? They could be sitting at the top of your road. Watching, waiting, for you to justify your love ooh ooh...

Every time you reply though, you perpetuate the contact, which to their twisted mind means that you are encouraging it. I had something very similar for several years from someone who actively stalked me until I got married, and I made things worse by telling them to fuck off - ignoring them would have been a much better option in retrospect.

Are you people mad?

I wouldn't step in on any Serb-on-Serb action!

Why do you think NATO stealth bombed 'em from up high, fcuking miles up in the sky! :eek3:

Very true. I think I made my point very clearly in today's email so it's back to plan B now - might just start ignoring it with a passion

Ignore, filter as spam, and delete if an email from said person actually gets into your inbox folder. Perhaps you could tell your relatives to inform the psycho that your phone number is unlisted and shall remain so for a VERY long time, if the psycho calls again.

Replying to the psycho emails will only continue the madness. Good luck!

Another alternative: put the stalker's email address onto some spam mailing lists so that the stalker gets chain mails and further spam in exponential numbers!

Not that I've ever done that before.... :evil4:

Sounds like Maya may be conflicted. She wants some space (ie no more daft emails), but she doesn't want to hurt this person's feelings... am I right?

Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind..

Precisely.

re: what Boaty said... It's definitely someone I know very well but I also expect that someone to know me too, to know what I like and what I don't like (we're talking friendship here, right?) and I'm certainly not fond of that kind of behaviour.
