Can't say I'm a big fan of cricket though will cheer for England, natch, after we've won anything and will claim complete indifference when we lose.
What's the Seth Efriken link though, Liam? Can't imagine wanting another country to win, when my own is partaking.
I am rooting for Bangladesh...Well, it would be nice if they just won one match...making it to the Super Eights is probably asking a bit much.
Other than them, I'll support England, Canada, and Ireland.

If we win it (which we wont) we'll never hear the end of it. And its one day cricket. So doesnt really count. South Africa kind of fucked it up for themselves last time around, and the time before. And they've got the best chance of beating of the Aussies.
And if we win, we'll never hear the end of it.
Stop talking crap Liam. England to win.
Just heard on the radio that the Ireland fans are decked in green and have dubbed themselves the Blarney Army. ![]()

Heh, celebratin' Saint Patty's Day a bit early, are they? ![]()
I see the "Irish" team did a "lap of honour" after their tie with the Zimbabwe reserve youth team. Pathetic.
It was the most hilarious game of cricket i have ever seen, making a mockery of the concept of international cricket, i've seen more advanced stuff walking past Denton Cricket Club when i was a lad.
The highlight was towards the end when the Zimbabwean batsmen sliced it, the fielder drops it, does a piss poor throw to the keeper, who misses the run out, then throws it to the other end, they miss another run out thanks to the Batsmen not knowing what to do while the Umpire holds his head in his hands, presumably in total disgust.

I taught them everything they know...
Well, I didn't actually, but if piss-poor fielding's involved I could well have done... It'll either all be quickly forgotten or we'll be dead-certs to win the Cup by tonight, depending on how the result goes... Got to be patriotic, especially given all the faux-Oirishness we'll be surrounded with over the weekend, but I'm not optimistic...
Snorri xxx
Kiwis and Japies showing the early form.
Can't work out who I'd hate to win it more ;)
Six sixes in an over to Gibbs last night, bit of a collector's item.
