What does the word mean? You hear it a lot in contexts where it sounds like it should mean "doesn't like gays" or "hates gays" or "is mean to gays", but shouldn't it mean "frightened of gays"?

I have no idea whether he's scared of them, but I don't think the concept of homosexuality appeals to Mike very much.

No, I'm not in denial. I admit to liking Simon Gallup, Alan Wilder, and Martin Gore on here. So, it does mean I fancy a few "blokes." Nothing at all wrong w/ it mate! I'm very straight, but I can admit to finding some blokes "manpretty" at times...you'll find it rare that people are 100% hetero at all times througout their lives.

As the recent thread about footballers' pendulous cocks makes all too evident, no one's desire can be safely contained or channeled into a straight/gay binary opposition. The very fact that men can judge other men in terms of handsomeness is evidence of this bisexual tendency shared by all people to some extent.

As for Digital Mike, his previously stated love for huge cumshots in pornos surely involves more than trying to identify with the onscreen male...but that's just one example. While some of the "gay" jibes thrown around at each other on NOOL are clever and funny, Mike's repeated rejection of gays in general reads as unnecessarily homophobic and pointlessly stupid (and probably speaks to some personal insecurities). Perhaps he should leave these taunts on the schoolyard before he imagines himself capable of moderating anything.
