New DM remasters (Construction Time Again & Black Celebration)

Anyone get these yet? I placed the order on Amazon late Monday night w/ Super Saver shipping (i.e. free), and they told me I would get them between the 27th and April 2nd

Showed up today! Brilliant, now I have them all! The documentary on Black Celebration is amazing almost an HOUR long!

Wish that The Cure (i.e. Robert), would get around to remastering Disintegration, and that New Order could attempt something like this. Would pad their pockets much more than an ump-teenth greatest hits.

look for a new set of Cure remasters probably after they tour this year and next.

I'm considering getting BC remastered, because it's my favorite album, although I usually don't go for remasters. And wasn't the Cure already remastered? About three years ago, a friend gave the the remaster of Three imaginary boys for my birthday.

Some New Order albums could use a good remastering. Brotherhood and Movement could have the sound quality cleaned up. Maybe Republic could be remixed and remastered to have more bass. Or else PC&L could be remastered for Americans and not have BM and the Beach on it.

I would love New Order remasters, not only for the album, but if they choose the DM route, it would be nice (not likely) to have a DVD of the albums and B-sides mixed in 5.1 with 30+ minutes of interviews/behind-the-scenes footage for each album, or if they do The Cure route, having a CD full of demos, outtakes (or pisstakes in this case) and live cuts.

But as Barney is such a QC stickler and even today the band wouldn't subject themselves to such extensive interviewing, I'm sure this may never come to be.

That album has to be heard in surround sound to get the full appreciation. The way they layered the sounds is amazing. The songs are just weird if you can't here the full dymanics of them.

Hoping to get around to getting it next month when I've got some more spare £. Cheers!

Wouldn't bother with Construction Time Again as it's very weak and has aged badly, but Black Celebration I would definetly get. Love this album. The highlight of their sampling/industrial period. New Dress, Sometimes, Question of Time, But Not Tonight (on my copy of the album)... all classics.

Re. NO remasters: I'd be happy with Brotherhood remastered as it's my favourite album of theirs.
