Unless they learn how to play, no it won't. Left it to the last 10 minutes again.........same old story.![]()
Is anyone surprised? I fail to see how bringing proven failure at international level Jermaine Defoe on was going to win us the game.
Lampard has to be dropped. You play your best players in their best position and sticking Gerrard on the right proves this. He lacks the discipline to stay out there and was always out of position. If Israel played anywhere near competently they would have had us beat.
McClaren must go. If England qualify for the finals (which they wont) they will be humilated. Why does McClaren refuse to pick Gareth Barry or Leighton Baines, when they have no left backs? Why was Joey Barton dropped? Considering all this strength in depth England had before the World Cup, where has it gone? Why is Lampard still playing for England despite being totally ineffective in three years? Why carry on picking Defoe when it has been proven time and time again that he cannot score goals at international level? When will Wayne Rooneys discipline be sorted? Another pointless and avoidable booking tonight? Why play Phil Neville at right back when he hasnt played there at club level for over three years now?
being a blackburn fan,i would call for the likes our very own david bentley to come into the fold, but for fear it would make him as bad !!!..match was a black mirror nightmare ![]()

Hard one to call though. Lampard's arguably the star central midfielder in the Prem (hasn't he just hit over 20 goals again this season, for the 2nd season running) so is obviously 'in form' given his league standing. Gerrard himself has been played out right by Liverpool of late so you can't blame McLaren alone for playing him there. Same goes for Lennon. One-footed as fcuk but Spurs have insisted on playing him wide left recently, so McLaren just followed suit again.
Would indeed be better to play Lennon right and Gerrard through the mid though, but what do we know? ![]()

Gerrard's never played a disciplened role, always played all over the pitch. He had his best season in terms of goal return, whilst largely figuring on the right. I don't think he's played very well all season, his goals have dried up and he seems to need a kick-start, as there's a bit of self-doubt creeping in.

Now, now, Shug.
You played a team 70 world rankings below you (and who are ranked worse than Oman, Wales and Burkina Faso!) and only walloped them, er, 2-1. At home. ![]()
Oh, and in case you've forgotten, you're Engerlish!

We haven't won anything for 40 years and wont win anything for another 40 with McClaren in charge. Hate to say it, but im starting to realise were probably the laughing stock of european football.

1 - Ryan Giggs. It would be a BIG help however. I suppose its better to always get into the quarter finals of a tournament than never qualify at all though.
You've nowt to laugh about Shug, the above post was a dig at yourself and the other little teams they use to make up the numbers! Oh, but wait. You're ENGLISH living as a jock. So you should be crying either way!
