Best Band That Have Opened For New Order

I know that most of us are still at the bar when the support band play.However,I sort of know someone who was in a group that opened for them,and i'd be interested to see if the name comes up. Would be interested to hear from the Americans on this one.

ACR or Gabrielles Wish.

ACR,and 808 state are ineed good groups.The band that i'm looking for had a couple of top 40 hits in the U.K. It's not 'Gene Loves Jezabel'

808 State/Sunscream was quite interesting back in 1993.

I guess many people will say the PIL/New Order and I don't know who else in the Technique tour.

Spot on,Spotnick.Sunsream.03 was the big L.p. and 'Love you more'was the big single.Were they any good live,i'm led to believe they were the only good rave type band in their day.

The Wonderstuff April 87 Woolwich Coronet. Factory in the Park June 86 was superb.

the worst were those weirdos at the Royal Albert Hall in Oct 86.

Underworld at Ally Pally was a fine choice. Not sure it counts though.

Do support bands come on after the main attraction though?! Question of semantics I guess, but, technically, New Order were bill-toppers, so guess Underworld were genuine 'support' in that instance?!

Did they really come on afterwards?... I know Biggie said it, but i seem to recall otherwise. My memory is shot these days, but i thought Underworld played an ace set, then NO played from about 11pm through to 12.30ish, and then i fecked off to the Radio 1 dance arena. Dunno.

Did they play on the same stage? I only saw 2 or 3 New Order songs, thought I might have seen Garnier, if he was on the same stage as New Order. Deffo listened to a good hour of the Chems djing. Can't remember Underworld at all. I won tickets for that off Garnier's label through Muzik magazine.

They were on the mainstage apparently after NO.. Weirdest thing was a large funfair going on behind the crowd. Garnier i believe was on the same stage as the Chems which was round the corner.

The best support act I ever saw was Battle.
