I was wandering around my local grocers on Saturday, and I got to the aisle with all the teas on it. So what, you ask?
I spied a box of PG Tips sitting on the shelf, so i pick it up...this shit had better be good, 7 bucks a box...
Pyramid bags eh?
Now, if I could only find this brown sauce in a glass bottle...
It's pretty strong.... but I like it that way! Now, don't do something silly like put sugar and milk in your tea..
For a different experience, though, try Trader Joe's mint chocolate tea. Okay, now THAT is sinful. :) Time to go to confession again.
I tend to only drink tea when I've got a sore throat, so I'm on coffee now. :)
Actually I should be on nice strong black tea.

There ain't no Trader Joe's in Austin...we got HEB, which if you aren't from Texas, you likely haven't heard of, but hey, the guys last name was Butt...oh...erm...there are a few Albertsons left, along with Randall's (our local branch of Safeway) and a few wal-mart supercenters...oh, and the hippie's grocer...Whole Foods...
Hmm, good to know! Never would have thought the HP sauce was so readily available.
Now, someone needs to give me some recipes.

its been ages since I went to Trader Joes..nearest one is an hour away..damn country.. love all the imported food and wines there..

We grew up on PG - my Dad had a tea caddy on the wall filled with the loose leaf stuff and used to make it super strong. These days my Brother swears by Miles tea, probably because they're a client of his, but they're all just blends of cheap Ceylon tea really.
Best I've come across is the M and S Extra Strong tea (with milk

I didn't buy the typhoo...I did pick up a bottle of HP Brown Sauce (in a glass bottle), a jar of orange marmalade (Duerr's...fuck me it does look different from what I'm used to picking up at the grocers), a bag of maltesers (they taste much better than I remember), a box of Jaffa Cakes, and a tin of Heinz Beans to see if they are any different from our pork&beans...
and what is it with the Heinz beans, do they not expect any of you fuckers to own a can opener???
Heh, a good strong cup of Constant Comment does the job for me.

Wait... which kinds did you get? They have a variety of cakes nowadays, including ones with apple and blackberry I think.
I really don't like Jaffa cakes... well, maybe the ones with the orange filling but really not my favorites...

Alas, there is no Trader Joe's further south than Virginia to obtain for their mint chocolate tea easily. But there is one brand online that you might wish to order from:
