what are gigs????/?
Kids and a mortguage have made me forget what gigs are:(
Surely there must be something in the neighbourhood that doesn't cost the earth to go to. I've got a mortgage and kids too, doesn't stop me from going to gigs. Can't always afford to take Deek with me, but hey that's quite alright. Saves me having to look for a childminder :D Mind, I only travel (well, to the UK) to see Nu Ordah ... any other bands I go and see will have to be a bit closer to home.
Apparently GOF played not that far from home last year, and I didn't know until afterwards ![]()

RE: order - Vikings Club Corby (hopefully, fingers toes and eyes crossed)
No way! I love Squeeze. I saw Glen Tilbrook a couple of years ago but never seen Squeeze, I might have to get to that.
Also going to Re:Order at Vikings club and James in Glasgee next week.
That's it so far.

Haven't been to a gig in ages...

Are !!! any good live? They're playing very near to me on the 30th but I don't have anyone to go with. :(

They were the biggest fucking waste of half an hour at SXSW...fecking group I was running with insisted we go see them because Damon's in the band...the group finally decided that Damon wasn't so great, and we got to leave...
they SUCK!!!
that is all...

Oh dear... at least I'll have low expectations.
Electrelane opening for Arcade Fire is the only "big" one on my radar, haven't checked out any club listings lately.

This saturday.......Wilko Johnson July ........... The Stranglers (2 or 3 dates) November ......... Christy Moore
Went and seen Bob Dylan last week, got there 8.30 after sitting in the pub for an hour, got there and he'd started. 45 mins later he was finished
Found out he came on at 7.30 !!! no support band, no mention on the tickets/website. So it worked out £1 per minute to see him
At least I can say I've been in the same room as Bob Dylan ![]()

Same thing very nearly happened to us with Dylan, I was sure he would be on later and wanted to stay in the pub. As it was, we literally just walked in when he came on.
Good job I don't always get my own way ![]()
