Bad Sentences

Came across this on a college website:

• Eligible dependents of 100% disabled or deceased veterans

**so what about dependents with only 50% deceased veterans? Are they assed out?

Seen any other good "bad sentences" lately?

Japan has lots of examples of "Bad English", not to mention poor English in schoolbooks and reference books for learning English. One bizarre one in a study guide/reference book was "There was no one but though he was innocent." ????? Actually, as I read the Japanese translation of that, they intended to mean, "Everyone thought he was guilty." And such bad English passes off as "real" English in schools.

Oh, and Japanese pop songs have odd phrases in them too.

On that note, I'm impressed by LG's Login Name. Usually Japanese women choose a color and a cute noun, like Pinky Dolphin, Blue Sky, Pink Kiss, etc. Though it does run the route of adjective - noun.

Funny you mention the songs, love how almost all pop songs have either the phrase "bestu Friends" "kiss" "love kiss" etc.

Japanese-English translations are hilarious. "all your base are belong to us" anyone?

I LOVE the Japanese pop song in that south park episode "protect my balls".

My place of work has the MOST illiterate bosses, we get briefs saying "please advice customer to...." on a daily basis.

I just love those people who call someone else a "looser."

Never mind the "fuck" bit, the rest of it is SOOOOO good. Never too sure if people know what I mean when I refer to "All your base...". So here is the original net video, with the original sequence from "zero wing", a Sega game. The weirder bits of the net have a real obsession with this stuff, and it's all gone silly.
