Classic line-up - excellent gig.

I was quite worried that they'd re-arrange or otherwise mess with the songs, but they just chucked out a perfect James gig.

Went to what was billed as a pre-gig warm up in Carlisle last Wednesday. A small crowd of about 1500.Loads of new material which did'nt do a lot for me to be honest,such is the peril of not having heard the new album prior to the Gig + Getting away with it,Come Home,How was it for you?,Laid etc,which had most of the crowd doing white wee wees.Security were knobs,which prompted Tim Booth to tell them so.We were pitched right on the front barrier. Gud nart out!

last time i went to see james was at an "anti clause 28" gig at the international 2 on plymouth grove, about 1988, with some band called the stone roses, thought they went shite after that, "sit down" my arse.

saw em last night in Toon' Complete Shite bar 'Johhny Yen', 'Chain Mail' & 'If Things Were Perfect' classic 80's James - thats £10 a song which is all a went for. Bit like Norder doing Sunrise/Age of.... Ah well New tunes are Upside Downside, Chameoleons & Who Are You

Biggie - compotent enough & professional performance, it's just that i like the 'classic' James (old 4 piece) rather than the later era. Just an old man reminiscing i guess. AND Tims beard is shite compared to a real mans beard i.e. mine

The line-up was the basic four plus that bald guitarist who was their guitar teacher before he joined. The Bassist has been there since the year dot, then that fiddle player and the drummer appeared quite early on? I like him - he's a proper rock star.

A classic-ish line up. Last time I saw them there were more on the stage than in the audience. Trumpeters and all sorts. Glad they've gone.

Seeing them again tomorrow. Should be good to see them in the MEN again.

Oi, Andy Diagram's really good - and a top bloke too!

Never liked them. Not even the 'big' hits they had.

The set list from last night looked pretty good. Obviously Sit Down should've been dropped and God Only Knows brought back in but still...

Now tomorrow night, do i stay in thge pub, or go and watch the band who sound like U2 with Liam Gallagher singing?

Thats not a tough decision if i'm honest.

Saw them again in Birmingham the other night. Much more confident performance than in Carlisle,with a better set list to boot! Can't argue with the the goaty beard being shite,maybe the cat should lick that off..

Got in there late,and gutted to miss The Twang supporting,as I think the songs 'Either way' and fucked if I can remember what it's called now are shit-hot.

Still not impressed with James's new stuff,mind
