I think for buildings. And I don't know anyone who cleans windows for free.

We are obliged to as part of our 'service charge' to the council. Though it has been pointed out by the older tenants that nobody has actually _seen_ the windows being cleaned in the last 40 years. Its quite possible the private cleaning firm just pockets the council's dosh and does nothing.

Me dad's a window cleaner and the elderly are best for paying him because they never go out, so they have to pay:nod:

Houses with younger people in are less likely to pay cos they tend to be out more.

we pay £6 once a fortnight, but I think they only do the upstairs.

It's cheaper to buy a bottle of Windex and a roll of towels than to hire someone to clean your windows.

Johnny does the upstairs windows while I hold his legs so he doesn't fall out

Mine only get done once a month a the  mansion,£3.50 a time and i only live in a poxy terrace!

Came last week as it appens and tried charging me £15!

Cheeky fookers aint even cleaned the bathroom window or back windows for the last few months,i know for a fact cos the drive is blocked and theres no way they could get the ladders down or clean the back windows cos theres 20 bags of renovation rubble in their way! bastards!:banghead:

How does £3.50 equate to £15 anyway, apparently they are rrying to charge me an extra £1 cos i aint paid for the last 4 months! :nono:

I may be a thick northern bastard but....

I only have 2 windows. A downstairs window I clean myself (when I can be bothered) and one in the roof (sky light) that has never been cleaned. Can't get the window open and there is no window cleaner prepared to do it!

(Don't blame them really)

The window cleaner round my way would charge £6 per fortnight for one window cleaned.

I think I'm in the wrong job!!!!
