You're New York! Well after the rest of the world had moved on, you were still obsessively discussing September 11th. Even now, it feels like it's September 12th to you. Though stuck in this traumatic rut, still unable to sleep, you've been able to continue to pursue some primary interests, such as using public transportation, scraping the sky, and trading stocks. When you trade baseball cards, you make sure to swindle everyone around you and pretend that the system is fair. You feel like you know Hillary Clinton, even though she's a complete stranger.

WTF!? :brow:

You're South Carolina! As far as you're concerned, comparisons made between you and a chicken have been greatly exaggerated. You prefer to think of yourself as a wren, able to belt out a tune when the moment calls for it. You're also inexplicably obsessed with palm trees, though you have been known to cut them down. Part of that whole love-hate obsession business, most likely. Good times never seemed so good.

What, as my Esteemed colleague NoBabe has already asked, THE FUCK????????

You're Indiana! While you feel your life is at a crossroads, you know in the back of your mind that you're just going around in circles. Going nowhere fast, perhaps. Very very fast. As long as you don't spin out of control, someone has promised you a bottle of milk at the end of this run-around. But it all seems so pointless, just spinning and spinning! Keep your seatbelt securely fastened and watch your speed. Got milk?

You're The Moon! You frequently take small steps, but you think very highly of each and every one of them. This aloof attitude doesn't begin to reflect how high and mighty you actually are, though you are able to reflect light onto others when it seems appropriate. Whether the glass is half full, half empty, waxing pedantic, or even crescent-shaped is something ever-changing in your perspective. These mood swings at least follow a consistent cycle, one that makes others believe you have mystical powers. Ultimately, your head is always in the clouds and you just can't seem to stay grounded.

You're Washington! Though you were named after some ancient and revered relative, you've taken off on your own course and are making a new name for yourself. Water dominates your life, surrounding you on many sides and usually from above. Though you say you love rain, it's really that you've forgotten that there are other types of weather to hold an opinion on. You have an amazingly eclectic interest in walls, spokes, yaks, seats, and even the Olympics. It'll all come out in the wash.

You're Vermont! Making mountains out of molehills is your specialty. Then you sell tickets for people to ski down the slippery slopes of said molehills. What you lack in elevation you make up for in syrupy sweetness to those around you. It has been noted that perhaps you are too likely to stick to others, and thus become a nuisance to those you hoped to sweeten. In your wardrobe at home, you have more than just great coats.

I've never heard of Vermont:scratch:

It sounds like a shitty place to live though:laugh:

You're California! In many ways, you are larger than life and almost defy description. You certainly love to shake, rattle, and roll with the best of them. You have a generally sunny disposition, but are capable of resorting to harsh extremes when pressed. You are more likely than most to become rich, or famous, or perhaps both. While you have the golden touch in so many regards, your respect for actors is a little over-zealous. This endless faith in actors needs to be terminated.

Fairly accurate apart from the rubbish about actors

You're Nevada! People are constantly mispronouncing your name, and this has provided you with a lot of frustration over the years. You prefer silver to gold, sagebrush to trees, and cards to sporting events. There is almost nothing you aren't willing to lay down a wager on, and others seek you out for advice on their own wagers. You don't take marriage terribly seriously, though you are one of its biggest proponents. Far too often these days, others are mistaking you for an industrial-strength garbage bag

Different set of questions if you answer them differntly!

This time :

You're Guantanamo Bay! While often confused for a messed-up pig farmer, you're actually a small-time swimmer. Some call you a parasite and it's true that you're really only separate from everyone around you because of a technicality. Still, it's a technicality that allows all manner of terrible things to happen in your presence. You feel ridiculously confined in the space you've been given, eat only bread and water, and get to talk to someone you want to once a month or so. Take comfort in this ongoing hell... it's all in the name of freedom!

You're the Panama Canal! While others are content to work long and hard hours, you're all about taking the shortcut. While this has benefited you for the most part, it has required starting several conflicts so that you could get your way. Your old profession doesn't seem terribly lofty to anyone, and sometimes you've even needed to dig ditches to get by, but you figure the results are worth it. Now, most of the time you're just cruising.

Well, guess which one I am...

Easy...

You're Louisiana! You were born on the bayou, and have never seen a good reason to leave. Of course, you might also just be stuck in the mud of the marshy swamp, grasping for nearby vines. You like the night life, baby, and can definitely let it all hang out. You also have some traditional influences, most of them French, but you tend to discard these for the sake of fun. No one enjoys Tuesdays more than you. Walk softly, and carry a red stick.

You're Maryland! You enjoy contemplating your navel so much that you want to build a whole school devoted to said purpose. You like Chevy Chase a ton as well, maybe even more than Cal Ripken since he started doing those Century 21 commercials. Mostly, though, you want to kick back, watch the ballgame, and eat crabcakes. Brick is by far your favorite building material. You might even call yourself a brick house.

PS-scary thing is that is where I actually live!!!

You're Minnesota! You love hanging out around lakes, even if they're frozen solid. Given your probable Scandanavian heritage, it all just demonstrates that you're pining for the fjords. Your obsession with wrestling got a little carried away for a while there, and this should prompt some serious reflection about the separation of mind and body. It may be time to celebrate, even throw your hat up in the air. You're going to make it after all.

You're Massachusetts! You like tea parties, Thanksgiving, and pretty much any other excuse to come together and eat. Just because the land you own is stolen, you've never seen a problem with believing entitled to it and so much more. Your heritage is predominantly Irish, English, or perhaps Italian, but you personally have never moved in your life. You only ride horses late at night. All your favorite poems begin with the line "There once was a man from Nantucket".

You're Colorado!

You really enjoy getting high. Even though it's often a lot of work, the view from the top is almost always worth the effort. Your distance from others makes your relationship with them rather rocky at times, but they do look up to you. Be very careful around schools. And stop being quite so focused on the number 5,280!

Well, I do like visiting the relatives who reside in Colorado, so this is a good thing. coulda been worse.....like Oklahoma :evil4:

I grew up in Philadelphia but yet, I'm South Carolina, a state that I've never set foot in and never plan to. The farthest south of the Mason-Dixon line I go is DC.

That's a great land if you want to drive in forest-tunnels and never see further than 30 feet, super high humidity, lotta bugs (and they all bite), people drive REAL slow and don't move out of the way for emergency vehicles, hurricanes blow through like its cool, trailer homes are the home of choice :thumb:,and racism is high......great place to live. You can probably tell I enjoyed it.

I don't drive. I don't care where I am as long as there is public transportation. But, I'd rather not find myself anywhere in Jesusland, because there's a really good chance I'm not making it out of there in one piece.

You're Missouri! An admirer of the works of Mark Twain and the steamboat lifestyle, you are happiest when floating gently down the river. You have a strong sense of independence, a reverence for saints, and even look up to discredited explorers. With all these traditional influences, it's no surprise you're at the center of everyone you know, and are even considered a gateway to the future. If only you could stop drinking the world's worst beer, you'd be set.

You're Tennessee! A vibrantly musical individual, you probably know how to play multiple instruments. At the heart of your love for music is the guitar, though you have a soft spot for violins, which you refuse to call anything but fiddles. Fiddlesticks aside, you are very thin and have excellent posture. If you ever run for elected office, you won't even be able to get your hometown to support you. I guess that's why they call it the blues.

you are very thin

You're Mississippi! Torn and conflicted, sometimes people feel you have a split personality. People have a hard time knowing whether you're coming or going, black or white, racist or egalitarian. While you say you're a combination of everything, many look at you and think you're just trying to be divisive, even offensive. It seems like your image problem would be easy to correct, but you have almost no money for other changes or improvements. When people are trying to slow themselves down, they say your name repeatedly.

That was a shock :nervous:

I live in Connecticut right now. It's a very boring place. It's all highways and you need a car to get around because the buses suck. It's composed of tons of hick towns or small crappy cities, like Hartford, Bridgeport, New Haven, and Waterbury. It's one of the most expensive place to live right now, although if you're not rich, having everything seriously over priced really sucks. CT is basically the land that lies in between Boston and NYC.

You're Iowa! You are very concerned with hawks and their nature. Particularly, the eye of the hawk has always captivated you, drawing you in with its piercing stare. It frankly doesn't take a lot to get your attention, but once it's been gained, your attention is unflinching. Though your influence appears minimal, a meeting you hold at your place every few years is monumental in its implications. At that meeting, you don't discuss where the monks came from, even though you want to know.

Dunno....oddly enough, I'm HAWAII!

When they first meet you, few people can tell whether you want to say hello or goodbye. Either way, most of them will end up saying that you're their favorite person to visit, if only they could afford the trip. But your soft and warm image is belied by an explosive undercurrent in your personality than can leave you drenched with tears or boiling with anger for days on end. You are rather fond of using plants as clothing.

I don't use an actual plant for clothing, though, just for smoking...

You're Idaho! You're a real meat-n-potatoes kind of person, or more accurately, a potatoes-n-potatoes type. There's little else that captures your attention from sunup to sundown than farming, eating, or simply admiring the splendor of the tater. Sure, you stop to see the butterflies once in a while, or to look at rocks, but mostly you just wish they were potatoes too. Secretly, you hold a stash of potatoes in the cellar for the time when the government comes to round them up and take them for their nefarious purposes. You will stop them!

Yes, living in my own private Idaho! But just for the record I couldn't give a rats ass about totty's! But stopping governments nefarious purposes, now there's a raison d'être!
