Normally I don't try and start before 7.30 or 8 pm.

Depends. Midweek I rarely have anything at all, and at weekends it is rarely before 8pm. If I don't go out then the most I will have is a glass of wine or a can of Stella. If it's a gig night then I will get stuck in as soon as the soundcheck is done.

On holiday I generally have one at lunchtime, maybe one late afternoon and then a can of Mythos while getting ready to go out, then whatever comes my way from about 9pm. Nice and relaxed, no set pattern or structure.

Depends who with and where...

At home, beers in a fridge in garage, but hardly ever bother.

If out with mates then when everyone else does, and if its abroad on a weekend away thats usually about 30mins after waking up!

Not really too much of a heavy drinker, more depends when I feel like it. If the weather's nice I like a lunchtime beer outside, otherwise it's usually in the evening. Like what steve said if I'm on holiday in Spain etc. there's more chance of drinking earlier! Cheers!:thumb:

i can't because i'm on that damned medication. lovely depakote. about to add lithium. so should make it even more fun.or disastrous.i thought about stopping my medicine to drink and then i thought you know-no. cos i started yelling last night after i forgot to take my medicine. i'm surprised actually that i'm not yelling right now...people on saddle-creek probably think i'm fucking nuts. which is true in some instances... :love2: :thumb:

No set time, normally when someone else has one.

Saying that, the last two times I've been drunk, I was alone.

And I'm on my own now, just tucking into a bottle of red.

Yum

oi...I fucking remember when I first moved to Austin and was doing the night shift...there was this one old bag who worked at the local grocers...bitch would check her watch like 3 times to let me know she disapproved of me purchasing beer at 7 in the morning...

it used to be when I got home from work...but since I don't work any longer, I just start when I feel like it...

usually about 8 or 8:30 pm....UNLESS we (meaning all of my coworkers) are on a group outing to Seattle with a local winery to catch either a Mariners or Seahawks game; my boss has very generously spent a bit o' cash in this regard, and we appreciate it VERY much :)

On these trips, leaving about 7 a.m. (it's a four hour drive) we get to sample ALL of the wine we want (this is on a tour bus, mind you) starting at about 9 a.m., and once we hit Seattle, it's off to either Fado's or Kell's for another couple of hours of drinking before the game starts at 1 pm. Nobody ever seems to remember much of the rides home though....

I think it is inappropriate to open a bottle before 6pm on a weekday, midday on a weekend! How I love 6pm and midday on a weekend!!!

Ouch. How VERY dare you! :nono:

Can't say I have noticed any difference for it though..... The guys who empty the bottle banks probably have.......otherwise....no change.

Ahh! One of lifes little luxuries, though.

A couple of pints while everyone else is going to work. :beer2:

Is RIGHT

A joint in one hand and a glass of vino in the other, watching the masses heading off to the grid of the rat race.

Shame I moved house, I can't gloat so much from my current window.

You can also go on a fucking suicide mission on a night off, with almost 24 hours to get sorted before facing work.

And of course, if I was posting on NOOL from dayshift, I'd have been shot by now.

Like other peeps have said, it depends.

If i'm going out, I usually start when i'm getting ready. Don't really like daytime drinking all that much cos I just end up wanting to

I am shocked . . . . part timer! Having witnessed you yesterday not sure how you can say that with a straight face

once a week, I'll start around 10 pm and stop around 2 am. As I work in a bar, it could be easy to get carried away.

Two - double shot Bacardi and cola with dinner usually, so around 7-8pm.

one or two beers on the weekend if I'm working on the house or car/truck.

Tend to be a creature of habit, but now with unemployment, who knows....
