Anyone bother at all?

Just downloading a torrent for the first five series of Family Guy specifically for me iPod. Figure they're all only 20mins long and simple enough graphics so might prove watchable on such a small screen on tube journeys, or whatever. Can't imagine playing anything too detailed though, or any longer in duration.

Anyone else ever loaded any video onto their iPod?

I haven't uploaded any long videos to my iPod, just some music videos. They look pretty fine to me!

(I downloaded a game called Cubis on my iPod, now I can't stop playing the bloody thing! :banghead: )

one of the lads that I used to work with had a habit of sticking movies on his...he'd watch it during his lunch break instead of socializing...of course, most of the people at work thought he was a douche bag, so I doubt they wanted to talk to him anyway...

me..I've only got one of those 4 gig jobbers...so I don't...well...can't is the proper word, I believe...

Al

i have music videos too, and they work very good....however, the battery of this generation of ipod video is not good, it doesn´t last too much when you're playing videos.

these days i'll try to upload the New Order Live at Manchester apollo 2005 and i'll let you know how it works..

I got a video Ipod on the house insurance, because my old-skool 20gb broke when the missus dropped it.

Downloaded a few videos from Itunes just for the novelty value but havent really bothered since.

Quality is top-notch though, i have to say.

By the way, the 20gb did start working again some time afterwards :confused2:

I only watch music videos/video podcasts on mine, but then my 60GB version is full-up, so I keep having to remove them... :)

I've always thought it would be a good idea (!) to upload porn videos to the iPod, so you can have porn on the go!!!

(Never tried it, though, mind)!! :p

Oh, btw, larger capacity iPod's are apparently going to be announced this August (or so I've heard from somewhere)... :shades:

I loaded the Community 2 videos to show around.

But conversion is soooo long, plus, how long can you actually watch it without losing power?

I had a feeling some people will use that to bring "porn to go"

I've made quite a few of my own for the ipod. music mostly. as a contrast - the stuff that I compressed for the pod is of much better quality than it could appear online. I've also copied some movies off friends and they're quite good for keeping the sprogs quiet. I don't think I could be arsed downloading movies or TV off iTunes though...

Ah, but you could then attach the iPod to the TV in your hotel room - saves having to watch (and pay) for the rubbish adult channels that they normally show! :smoking:

Funnily enough, Nick, you really sound like quite an expert on this!

Mind you, Telford is the kind of place that would do that to a man. Or a woman, for that matter.

(Imagines the tragi-comedy potential of all 6ft 8" of Nick King frantically knocking one out over his tiny little ipod screen in a North Shropshire Travelodge....)

Which reminds me, I bought last week the car module from Belkin that comes with another box to plug on a TV to watch video (had to buy back the car module stolen with my car!)

You are giving me ideas

Maybe not for porn, but actually to watch movies and tv shows while on vacation ;)

If I could, I would.

I got a 2nd-gen 6GB iPod Mini two years ago for my undergrad gradutation party from my folks. I did a very dumb and stupid thing and lent it to my ex and she says she posted it back to me, but I'm still waiting :nonono:

I managed to buy my sister's 4th-gen 20GB iPod (non-video) for a cool $100 (perfect condition). She sold it to me because she won a gorgeous black 40GB (me thinks) 5th-gen video. Bitch.

PS: My ex has vowed to replace it and has bid on eBay...but she says I may have to settle for a FUCKING NANO! Call me an ungratful twat, but I actually would rather have nothing over the Nano!

What's wrong with the Nano? Its an upgrade to the mini....that is of course it has a similar memory.

My g/f has one, and it just reeks of being flimsy and fragile as hell. I dropped my old Mini plenty of times and it took a licking and still was flawless. I feel like I'm going to break a Nano by looking at it funny.

Points for the brighter, full color screen though.

My son's friend has one, and being 10 he must put that thing through hell. Has lasted him at least a year and still ticking. That thing does look really thin, but if it still runs for a 10 year old boy, you probably don't have anything to worry about.
