Ruined in a Day

Tis a dark day for myself. I keep all my New Order discs in a CD case and keep said case in my car. I felt like busting out "Electronic" the other day, and couldn't find it in the backseat. Or under the front seats. Or in the trunk. :uhoh: I keep my car locked ALWAYS, except when I'm at my g/f's house, where her family has kept their cars and house unlocked for literally decades with not so much a jar full of pennies being nicked. Very :wtf: I am not one to simply misplace something so valuable.

The only CDs that weren't legit were PCL and Brotherhood, the others were the real deal  This also included the Limited Edition 5 disc version of Retro. I cannot think of any other place where I could have left this case! I am just kicking myself for not ripping and burning the discs to CD-Rs for the car and keeping the originals in my room (I did do this for the Cure/DM remasters, however.)

Anyone else suffer such a demoralizing loss? This coupled with the band splitting up equals a very bad month.

Good luck in finding them. they'll be in the last place you look. :D

I really hope that you locate those cds

I could tell you my tales of woe over the past week, but that really is too crappy to share with everyone.

Things however are looking up again.

Then again I've just had an unsettling experience. Bloody fookin shit I thought that'd be sorted now.

Sheds... Urgh! That must be really gutting. I really feel sympathy for you.

Not anywhere near on the same scale but a few years ago I lost 2 boxes full of NO and JD bootlegs. I'd stored them in my parents attic for years as I moved around. They had a tidy up one day and all of my precious live stuff got the heave-ho. I'd built up the collection over quite a few years and many of them had lovingly hand crafted covers made by the people who had copied them, or myself. I think that is the saddest part, that the guy who must have spent ages making a cover for SO36 would be gutted to know that his handy work is mouldering somewhere at the bottom of a rubbish dump :(

I still can't believe it happened and I'm in such denial that everytime I visit my parents I have a quick look in the attic to make sure I've not overlooked it. Desparation, eh?

I really hope that you find your lost case. Please keep us posted

Good luck in finding those cds. I know how that feels. 4 years ago someone broke into my truck and stole my cd collection. I had my top 75 cds in there, and many of them were hard to find, or limited editions. It took forever to get my collection back together.

Hopefully you have better luck:thumb:

Now everything is on my ipod, which I carry everywhere. Someone stole one of them a while back, but it didn't matter. Got the new one, plugged it in and within 5 minutes it was back to normal.

Maybe a good reason to upgrade?
