I know it's been out for a while but is The Clash The Singles boxed set a worthwhile purchase? I'm tempted buying it today so just want to know is this something different from the albums/compilations already out or am I wasting my money getting this? Cheers!

As a proper punk I downloaded this the week it came out.
Fookin ace, as I was too young when the stuff was out the first time, some classic tracks and definitely worth getting hold of, this coming from someone who has all their albums and has heard most of the stuff before

Story of the Clash is by far the best compilation of singles of the Clash, and one of the best of all time. The arraingement of the songs is perfect. (Ialso have the Clash Singles CD, and that just doesn't do them justice).
Ooooooooh! Clash!! 
I'll have to hunt down The Story of, sounds like a good compilation of good noise for me to listen to.
And next time I get bloody paid, I'm getting that FAC'n Singles Box Set, damnit!

another great listen is the live westway put out a few years back,, its one of a very few to capture the essence of a band live,, on disc.
there is a rose i want to live for ,, though god knows i may have met her.
