Just d/loaded these easily available albums from a torrent site yesterday. (quite a bit from their release dates as well). Linking the Chems especially, worth giving a spin people. The Editors cd is taking a bit to warm up to my ears tho

Chems are downloading as I speak! 125kb/s on Soulseek. Couldn't ask for more!

Me, Vinnie and Nickos Kingos seeing 'em in Camden this week. Should be good!

EDIT: Stop Press. Downloaded the entire album from Soulseek in <15mins. Wunderbar!!

Jesus, you had me worried there - it's next week, not this week (I thought that I had missed it)! :smoking:

Next week?! It's this week! It's this Thursday! (Or is that next Thursday?!)

This new album is v.good thus far. Onto track 4 'Saturate' which is either EBW 8 or 9, not sure, but one of the recent EBW's. Doesn't sound any different in it's mix or structure though. Good stuff all the same.

I actually haven't listened to a full ChemBros album since "Surrender". It was around that time that I was getting to know another certain Manchester band...Nu Shoz or something the fuck like that. Good song, "Enjoy the Silence", I think.

Can't get enough of track 4 - Saturate, is it? Though have had it as an Electronic Battle Weapon for maybe six months and not given a shit about it before. Strange.

Not convinced by Do It Again meself, which is strange cos the Chems are usually spot on with their singles. There's better on the album...

That thing with the Klaxons could defo be a big hit though, it's a cracker.

(And it'll get the Emo Kids like Johnny Giles jiving to it too! :shades: )

Well, you know how I like silly shit, so on the way back home last night, I listened to The Salmon Dance for the entire journey...I think it's my fave of this one...

I find it to be a very strong album...

All Rights Reversed (with the Klaxons) is, indeed, a goer... Das Spiegel was kind of fun as well (Track 6)....

now I just have to remember to actually get out and purchase a copy when it does come out...

Hmm...downloaded Chems album before but dont really like it yet:shrug:

Only Burst Generator has really stuck in my mind, the rest just sounds like Simian Mobile Disco, but not as good.

I just want it all to sound like Exit Planet Dust:laugh:

thanks for the recommendation, Green. I lost my OiNK account a few months ago and haven't been able to get an invite since.

Think Saturate was EBW 8. I've been into it since I heard the Plump DJs kick it out at the end of one of their sets in Perth. Sounded quite surreal amongst all the regular bombs and squelches of a breaks set. Class.

As for the single, the production is a belter through the Sennheisers but yeah, reckon the vocal lets the show down. Where's Kool Keith when you need him?

I finally got it. Took 24 minutes for the record, and its a bit more upbeat and lush sounding than recent Chems efforts.

Currently really pissing off the neighbours with it.:thumb:

Very good album, the news from the official site says that the album won't be out until the 2nd of July (over here anyway).

gotta love Ed's link, in the Good Things section, to The greatest band ever doing my favourite song in a YouTube clip. :thumb:

Yes, some fresh sounds on the Chems album which i have to say surprised me.I thought they were just about up for the knackers yard. That one with the Klaxons (?) is tops.I do feel a bit of an old bastard trying to be "down with the kids" when i listen to them for some reason though (erm, maybe because i AM an old bastard ?) But then do the kids these days actually like them?? Who exactly are their audience? Probably late 20 somethings who were 17 in 94-95 when they put out Exit Planet Dust.

Still , some great sounds on there except for Salmon Dance which so far i've only got 30 seconds in to before scrambling frantically for the skip button.

The Salmon Dance really is a stinking pile of turd (and not in a good way)

Title track's sound though.
