Absofuckinlutelybrilliant!

Mate rang me at 10a.m to say there were a spare ticket,so jumped at the chance to go n see em,natch.

They were excellent!

Shaun sang all the songs better than i can actually remember!

Shoved mmi way right to the front and stopped there for the entire gig. They threw in a few new songs and some black grape tunes in as well. No wrote for luck tho, which was a bit dissapointing!

Managed to get back stage n meet bez and monica!

Absolutely brilliant, bez is a true gent!(thanks for the jack n jill bez, will be telling that tale 4 quite a while me thinks!)

The rest of the band were great anall, very chatty and we had a reight laugh!

Special mention goes out to Dave Beer, thanks for all the drinks lad! :thumb:

Went back with bez and mon back to their hotel after the gig.

Thanks to the manager for opening up the bar specially for us,and to the barman who we albsolutely pestered to death to keep it open, cheers lad!

He finally got fed up at about 3.30 ish,so we all went back to bez n mons room, fookin brill had a right laugh up there!

Thanks very much to bez n monica for having us, you made us all very happy! :thumb:

I would recommend anyone thinking about goin to see em to get there selves off you wont be dissapointed!

Ste - was there at Leadmill & M'Boro the following night. I was sober as.. and thought they were dire, utter shite. (worst i've seen) I've seen em over 20 times now since 87' but they have never appeared to be so cabaret. If you play any of the audios from this tour or Coachella (even Barcelona official cd) you will understand. Was pissed off with the (lack of) muscianship on the Autumn 05' tour but this time i've called it a day. To play such a 'crap' selection of 6 songs, 1 B/Grape & 5 new ones is poor. Had the feeling that lots there didnt have much history, knowledge & appreciation of the band. Quite happy hearing piss versions of Loose Fit, Kinky Afro 24 HrPP. Nothing off Squirrel (bar 24Hr) or Bummed. Not thinking of the ardcore me thinks.

I was at M'boro aswell Andrew, but I thought they were alright, after not expecting owt flash..But then again I was fuckfaced....and no WFL,Tart Tart or Freaky Dancing is unforgivable in the cold sober light of day..Mixed feelings, but an exceptional after-piss up made amends. :thumb:

After 41,000 beers and 67g's of columbias finest then i suppose a drowned cat wouldnt sound bad.......

I took some footage from the gig on my moby and they didnt sound THAT bad, bearing in mind i was right at the front.

I really enjoyed it,was the first time ad sin em anall, and meetin em backstage topped the night off for me! :thumb:

I seem to be going thru a renaissance with the older bands at the minute.

In fact i just been on the blower to a guy from a band from around the same time as the mondays trying to book em for a future date at the Lucorum in Barnsley. Cant say who it is yet till we get confirmation so watch this space.............
