Psychic TV

My long-standing dream of seeing a Psychic TV gig was fulfilled last night. Genesis and the new lineup played Boston, and I was at the head of the line. Many aging freaks came out of the woodwork for the show, which was fantastic. Gone are the days of random screaming and out-of-tune playing. The band was tight and Genesis sang very well. Most of the set consisted of songs from the new PTV studio album. Longtime fans recognized them as reworked versions of classic bootleg tracks. Being in the front row gave me a good look at Gen, and damn does he look like a broken-down prostitute! In addition to the infamous implants, he had collagen put in his lips and who knows what else. He resembled Nico before she died (and when I say "before she died" I mean MINUTES before). Nevertheless, he danced around like crazy and was really frendly with the audience. His eldest daughter Caresse was in the crowd, and she came on stage to introduce the final song.

thanks for the recap, obviously one of the first questions on my mind was how Gen looks these days.....( earlier this week, I watched that documentary on the Brian Jonestown Massacre from a couple of years ago, forgot that Gen was in that....he didn't look so well then).

Hmm are they coming to Texas? Would be great to see them. I missed in SPb a few years ago. And Genesis being a gorgeous female these days - it's tough not to witness it.
