hmmm...catgut actually comes from pigs,,, the October Revolution is celebrated in September (but do they really still celebrate this?) the canaries are named after the numerous wild dogs that roamed the island when discovered... a purple finch is black, I think... and chinese goose berries are from New Zealand... oh...and Panama Hats, aren't they from Columbia???

as for the wars...I don't know the exact number of years either one was...
