Don't panic girls!!!!!..... I'm not walking down the aisle just yet. But my pal Megan is in October and she's stressing about what to do re. a wedding band.

She wants to avoid the dodgy Tenerife-cabaret-act couple with the big organ (fnarr fnarr) but also needs summat that isn't gonna scare off the grannies.

Any ideas? suggestions? Interesting alternatives? My mate Big Dave had a steel band at his do which was great but for the fact him,his wife and all their family are from Haghill where the Carribean musical tradition isn't hugely popular. First song was a steel band version of "I Just Called To Say I Love You".

The Limitations.

www.limitations.com, I think.

They'd probably hate me for saying so, but a one-word summary would be "Commitments". They're better than that though, they do all sorts of things.

They're based near Oxford though, so might be pricey to get up. Accomodation would be a mare too as there's loads of them.

Maybe for later when everyone is pished but not when all the evening guests are arriving.

Thinking of getting my mate's jazz-fusion trio (bass, drums, keys, no vocals) to do an hour as all the guests are arriving and then having a quick switch-over and having a decent covers band who's repetoire extends beyond "Hi Ho Silver Lining" and "Saturday Night At The Movies". Does such a band exist?

Well, as long as she's happy with Re:Order, yes. I'm sure she would be though, after all, she does have SOME taste. Maybe Digital AND Re:Order with Hooky DJing. Not like we're going to get New Order now, is it?
