A manchester band that have disappeared off the face of the earth according to my brother.
Alpinestars were my brothers favourite band. He (we) used to follow them everywhere for gigs, culminating in having to watch them support Faithless round the UK, where we danced about like lunatics much to the bemusement of the Faithless fans, and leave when Faithless came on.
Google was no good, and my brother has had no reply from their record company.
Anyway, anyone heard what they are up to now?

Aplinestars have just completed work on their 3rd album with producers Dimitri Tikavoi (Goldfrapp/ John Cale / Placebo ) and Rob Kirwan (Soulwax and Bikini Atoll) with additional mixing from Neil Claxton (Mint Royale / Faith & Hope).
Alpinestars music is a multi-dimensional amalgam of middle-European influences, driving machine-funk / folk electronica with moody elegies and pop melodies. Depeche Mode, Giorgio Moroder, Nick Drake and New Order are some of the people who it may remind you of. Quite possibly at the same time.
We will post more details, preview clips and information on the new recording as we get them.
