How many more 80s bands must we see reforming?

Can anybody list all the bands to date?

Now Haircut 100 are the next bunch of old past it ex-teeny boppers to decide to reform....why? What is the point??

Who next? Level 42? The Belle Stars? Kajagoogoo?

And as if that isn't bad enough, those 90s harridans The Spice Girls are set to do the Take That route back to lucrativity (sic) - although unlike the Thats, all five of the hideous caterwauling bitches will be back tormenting us all.

How many songs can Haircut 100 pull from their catalog? I can onlythink of two and one of them was with bananarama...guess they'll need to be reformed as well so that they can play at least two singles.

Right I'm ringing my mate Iain up. We used to stand in my bedroom circa 86/87 with my plank and his guitar plugged into a huge carlsboro amp, tormenting the neighbours with horrific versions of transmission, decades, and couple of SLF tunes.

Theres a Festival up in Scotlandd think its in Ayr or Kilmarnock or somewhere round there for all the reformed 80's bands to play at.

And, sorry about this, but Level 42 have already reformed and done their tour. Sold out the brighton centre. Don't know how many people it holds but that is a lot of c@nts! paying £27 a ticket...

We could tour together Steve - me & my mate Simon have reformed our 'band' the (Irish) Slits - we toured Ireland in '87 promoting our song 'Johnny Rotten is a punk' (well we cycled around the west & south coasts & sometimes sang on our bikes ). Our newest escape/release will be a tender ode to a female barrister - called 'Laying (down) the Law' - if we ever learn to play the instruments/find a studio/etc

Oh yes our gigs were sellout performances to crowds of pissed off old ladies and kids trying to sleep.

Thing is, I wonder if it's possible to undo learning to play a bit. I mean I just played my bass for about an hour, and was hardly shite at all, I dunno, I think that 80's vibe has gone.

Still, maybe all this revival shit will be worth it.....

It's about fucking TIME there was a Fairlight VSTi, thahngyooooverrrymoooch. Not sure it's worth hearing Kadjawassit again though.

There is something depressing about the phenomena of bands coming back together as a sort of auto-tribute act, covering all their hits for the sake of the pension funds because the solo careers didn't go anywhere. For all the griping about NO's last 2 albums, at least when they reformed they made a go of being a proper band still, and actually played new material.

But who knows what 2027 might bring...
