Could have been nasty, luckily it looks like they graduated from the Richard Reid School for Rubbish Terrorists...
Also heard a small package bomb went off in a Spanish airport. f'ing terrorists. Such cowards to go after innocent unarmed civilians.

I think the spanish bomb was the work of ETA,and not linked to those in London or Glasgow. But yes, fucking cowards the lot of 'em
I guess this a sign that the states should be ready after the next presidential election.I'm sure the timing coincided with Blair leaving office.
Oh FFS, yesterday our suicide bombers couldn'y make a bomb, today they can't commit suicide OR make a bomb. Maybe "suicide burger chef" would be a better career choice?
Britain is under attack from imbeciles ![]()
Should be interesting, we now have a "suicide bomber" (albeit a really shite one) in custody....anyone that cowardly will sing like a birdie too.
I hope the kiddies didn't hurt anyone.
2 people who were supposed to stay at the hotel i work at are stuck on the runway on there plane.
Supposedly 15 planes out on the runway at the minute.
Saw a great interview snippet earlier with the 'hero' of the tale. Went something like:
'I saw the bloke get out of the car, he was on fire, so i punched him in the face and jumped on him'. That's the Scottish way of dealing with Al-Qaeda.

That's just our traditional warm Scottish welcome, he probably didn't even know he was a terrorist :)

May I suggest you don't give my boyfriend that sort of welcome when he arrives in Scotland in September [he's going to be there for a semester... which means 4 or 5 months of not seeing him... damn...].
I don't need my Michael getting sent home because the Scottish Order had to beat up someone from the Small-Town Order.
Otherwise, good way of kickin' down bastard bomberbrats. ![]()

Was meant to be flying with Aer Fungus to Dublin at 10AM Sat. Change of plan on the Friday. Fortunately!
I went out for a few shandies on Sat night. Before I left I was wondering if the city would be any quieter than normal in light of what went down. No chance! Streets full of pay weekend revellers and the usual bams and chancers. You can try and bomb our airport all you like Mr. Alan Quaeda but Glaswegians will continue to do what we do best on a Saturday night; get pissed and batter each other. ![]()

Quote of the week goes to the airport official who was interviewed on Sky News....
"It's kind of ironic, we were all talking about how cold it was not two minutes beforehand"

Before any major strike there seems to always be a few "botched" attempts. Frightening thing is, they're usually a diversionary tactic.
All security is now focused on airports, train stations and central London. Lets be honest, it wouldn't be hard to attack the likes of Liverpool city centre or the Trafford centre right now.

I've always thought nightclubs are an easy target. There's a 30 yard stretch of pavement in Glasgow city centre that must have a good couple of thousand people piling onto it at 3AM. Easy target with none of the hurdles hitting an airport has. But what can you do? Stop going out? Avoid busy places? You've gotta just keep on gettin on with it.

I particularly loved this bit
"Yer no hittin the polis mate".....Aye right!!! Was he honestly standing there thinking "Gosh! An officer of the law is about to be assaulted. I'd better intervene" or was it more like "Yas man! Get right intae some cunt wi both feet!"
Legend!!!! ![]()
Quote of the day from the website :
Those hapless al-Qaeda boys were to find out that Glasgow has no respect for international terrorism. Nobody gets between 10,000 Weegies and a £99 week in Ibiza booked on Thursday night through Barrhead Travel.
The Government has just stated that those responsible for assisting the police (including John Smeaton) might well be commended somehow! ![]()
