The Hives!! [...the band, not the skin rashes!!]

Right now I'm listening to my Hives mix, and I recall the first time I heard of them, 5 years ago. One of my friends got me the 'Veni Vedi Vicious' album for me as a high school graduation present. Two years ago I bought 'Tyrannosaurus Hives', and it's damn well my favorite Hives album from the guys.

Not sure if they're gonna make new stuff. If they do I can't wait to hear 'em!

My fave Hives music memory--graduation night I cranked VVV up in my room and was dancing like a loon. Dad entered the room [without my knowing!!!] just to tell me he ordered pizza for the dinner party. I didn't notice he was there until somewhere during 'Inspection Wise 1999', when I looked to the door and Dad's got this look on his face like, 'WTF are you doing? ' I just told him I was dancing :D, he was like 'Okay', and he walks out the room closing the door behind him. I got the best laugh of the summer right after that. Dad's face was priceless.

The Hives grabbed my attention for a whole ten minutes when I was 15 then they got repetitive. I heard 3-4 singles. Didn't know anyone still cared about them past 2002.

Saw them once at Birmingham Carling Academy..At the end of the gig all of them were sweating to buggery.Except that big fat bastard on guitar (or was it bass? cant recall) .Anyway , a bit odd.That was the only interesting thing from the gig

Boring band. That garage rock revival fairly died on it's arse quickly.

They have also worked with Timbaland on his new album.

What's the word? Meh. Never thought there'd be a band that would make the Nomads sound good.
