how the hell to install a camera on your computer when the model of camera you have is not on the list?i havetried just about everything and stillcannot figure it out.

i downloded the drivers from a uk site for a fujifilm finepix 2400 zoomcamera.its a year 2000 model.

i am mad as all heck because when i say i havethe disk the bastard won't install the drivers from either c drive or floppy.

I prolly is your anti-virus that is causing your problem. Is it a webcam or a normal digi cam?

For a normal still camera the standard microsoft software that comes with your computer should do the trick.

Just plug it in and see what happens. You won't have all the fancy picture editing features, but it does the job.

What Ron said! Most (decently made) digital cameras will just be detected as a USB removable disc drive, and will appear as an extra drive letter in "Bill's Computer".

If installing drivers, make sure you pay attention to whether you should have the device pre-plugged in or not. While windows can now do some reasonable semblance of hotplugging USB kit, driver installation routines can be less clever.

plugged it in...doesn't recognize it.installed the drivers and went to control panel and then to scanners and cameras next>fujifilm> doesn'thave my model camera on list

tried the have disk thing and went to c drive...i don't know anymore...

i installed the drivers without it being plugged in.

well.. it finally showed upin mycomputer after sixhours...fucking whore...now all i have to do is get the pics to show upfromthe camera...

ofcourse now when i click on get images from camera it won't get the images..lovely..i'll figure it out...:laugh:

copy them to a folder on C:

Cameras tend to have shitty slow interfaces and pics can take a bollox of a time to open.
