Best gig I've ever seen by anybody at any time.
And I'm not the only one out of the people I went along with who said something along those lines.
Now I await the slagging from pretty much everyone on here coming from the usual angles- age, not new order, all these new bands are crap etc etc...
Neon Bible is a pretty good album.
The stuff on YouTube is pretty class. Love to see em live.

That's surely just a matter of personal taste though, Liam? No need for anyone to slag you off. Or for you to come over all High and Mighty.
I saw the entire Arcade Fire set on Saturday too. Thought they were much better than they are on record (I think both albums are rather bland) but I wouldn't go out of my way to see them again. Just not my thang, that's all. Each to their own.
To be fair, just played Neon Bible thru from start to finish on the way into the office this morning to give them another go.
There's a couple of class numbers on there - No Cars Go is an absolute corker, and the one with Lighthouse in the title is a belter as well. But they're just not for me. Remind me far too much of Prefab Sprout.
Like I said, each to their own.
Which songs boasts the TBTHOG bassline though? Vincenzo pointed that out during their set on Saturday - sounded just like the Hooky riff.

I don't know if they are genuises or not by doing this, but it's building some kind of cult following.
Now they just need one or two hit singles.
But I'd rather go to a show where people know the music instead of one or two songs.

no cars go isn't really from neon bible though is it? it's aaages old (as i've said before) i've got it on a session from way back. (wasn't it on their tour ep?)
to be honest with you i think that neon bible is one of the biggest disappointments of recent memory.
nowhere near as good as funeral, & the two shows i saw on the neon bible tour weren't as good as the two on the funeral tour.

yes, but it was obviously reworked for neon bible.

Do you remember them with U2 during vertigo Tour exactly in Montreal 2005 doing Love Will Tear Us Apart?? it was the last song of that show

Of course I do... I bought tickets for New Order in New York instead of U2 in Montreal, and missed that 
I don't regret it, but it pissed me off when I heard Arcade Fire was opening for U2, but that was like 6 months later!
I would have bought the tickets for both. You really missed a great concert.
On the contrary, I did buy the ticket for U2 for New York in October instead of Montreal. Nobody knew it was going to happen
