These days the filters and chillers are getting better. Anyone that drinks water at home should think about investing in one. Mine's a bit like this:

Fill it with water, pop it in the fridge and don't forget to change the cartridge once a month. Claims to filter for all sort of bad things and seems to me to taste better (although some of that it gonna be psycological and some just due to the fact that it's nice and cold).

If you're on the road, what can you do but buy it in bottles? It's certainly gonna be better for you than suger pop *, and probably better for the environment too.

* unless, of course, you have a blistering hangover. Then a McDonalds Coke is the only thing that will help you at all...

hmmm...I've thought about one of those Mr. C...but I've always wondered if they really work...

I guess that's as close to a ringing endorsement as I'm gonna get...

I'm off to Wal-mart in a bit, what the hell, I'll give it a go...

My Fridge has a filtered water dispenser, only need to replace the filter about once a year. Then of course there are these types as well:

If I was to put the filtered water in a plastic bottle, you'd never know the difference.

If its a cool image yer after than do like I do, drink yer expensive water then keep filling the bottle up with filtered water, so when you drink out of the bottle people THINK yer drinking expensive water. (except for me its not water, but an old gatorade bottle I refill with Kool-Aid):thumb:

They work like a dream. My husband wouldn't drink any tap water in St. Paul until we got one of these. It's lovely and he's stopped bitching about how the water tastes. Brita=brilliant

I wonder what happens when you put vodka in the filter?

Wait, you mean I'm not supposed to do that?

I dunno. Can't read the instructions.

So it obviously doesn't filter out the alcohol!

Hic!

'Oil tries and tests to make the product better.. Isn't it the Companies' job to bring you the best possible product. So do all the distillin' before they put the Product to market. Half serious note- Glass Bottled milk is the way to go over Cartons or Plastic  For the Environment's sake. Water. Aquafina PepsiCo just admitted their sales have been of bottled 'Tap water. Fantastic..

Which is in compounds with various nasty things and is derived from industrial effluent, as pure flouride is non soluble.

Straight from the river is best, though it's a good idea to look upstream first....and not do what I did......drink yerself happy on lovely fresh river water, only to find a few miles upstream, a deceased sheep in the river.
