Well guess Barry Bonds hit the home run that put away Hank Aaron's career home run record. Amazing the baseball commission didn't seek any closure on the steriods accusation before he reached this pinnacle. With all the controversy and arguements that will go on about this, why didn't they either state he did/didn't take steriods?
Guess it might be pointless anyways, as A-Rod became the youngest player to hit 300 career homeruns, and BB's new record will probably hit the dust quite soon.

I had the displeasure of watching it in a bar while waiting out a thunderstorm. Bicycles and lighting do not mix. I was hoping Hank would have made a comment about juicing but he was civil. I was amazed at all the fans and no boos.

Well, it was in San Francisco, would've loved to seen it happen in Los Angeles, just for giggles.
Had not watched one bit, nor cared much, of this "chase" until last night. Went to turn the TV downstairs off just as Bonds was getting ready to hit (the San Francisco broadcast showed a picture-in-picture of him during an ad, a new kind of first I think). Just in time to see that at-bat and the HR. All I liked about the night was the Aaron speech, and the fact that a Mets fan from Queens, NY caught the ball......cause Mets fans are AWESOME! 
I think you americans should have a special forum for these "sports" threads. After all, we got one for "soccer".
