if her parents were Wayne and Waynetta Slob, the headlines would read 'Chav Parents leave kid alone for night on the piss' and they'd be vilified.

Terrible thing for any parent to go through, but there's real media bias going on.

Is it me or has it been everyday for the last month that police are set to announce a significant breakthrough/arrest? Getting a little tedious right now. A 5 year old boy Parvinder Singh went missing in my town a week or two ago, and no-one apparently gives a shit.
