I don't understand the point of having an iTouch if it's exactly an iPhone without a phone. And the colors for the new iPod shuffle and the iPod nano are hideous! I wonder why Steve Jobs changed the color scheme from neon to pastel. I'm not so sure if green, or periwinkle purple (or whatever) would sell. I'm happy with the neon green iPod nano, which I bought for my last birthday. I have no plans to buy the iTouch or the iPhone. I respect Apple for making computers, though. I got myself a white MacBook a few days ago. Way better than the IBM.
Also, have any of you received an iPhone discount from Steve Jobs (after customers complained)?
First of all, everyone is entitled to his/her own preference! You are not required to have or buy one. If you don't like the iTouch or iPhone, then don't buy it.
Then, if you find the new colors of iPod Nano hideous, then so be it your opinion. You have to understand, corporations spend much on research and development, and is continuously getting and looking for feedback and complains from its customers and markets to make their products better. Before they make a decision, they ask people. So, will the green or periwinkle purple would sell? Probably yes. Probably, these are few of the colors that their R&D found out that would sell because people have their own preferences.
You have to remember that mobile phones and pagers used to be either black or gray only. But then, people wanted it colored, so they came out interchangeable covers/housings.
So that is the point that you don't understand. Duh!
