His article suggests Ferrari's complaint is more like a witch hunt instigated by Ferrari to at least weaken McLaren and more specifically Ron Dennis. Furthermore Alonso's threat to show the FIA his e-mails with Coughlin and test driver Pedro de la Rosa after his Hungary pit stop antics and associated bust up with Ron Dennis has quite possibly damaged his long term future at McLaren and relationship with key figures within the team like Dennis. Arguably 'Stepneygate' has changed the relationship between the FIA, McLaren, Ferrari and even the other teams in the F1 paddock (most notably Renault) forever and like I mentioned previously it the arguments are endless for and against the punishment McLaren has received here.

(last year Reanult had a "mass damper" fitted inside the nose ruled as illegal, as it was a "movable aerodynamic device", despite no air traveling over it. This year Ferrari have wheel covers which are "for" brake cooling, but which actually exhaust the air they suck in into the car's underfloor area, increasing downforce. However since their cars are red, no one has said a fucking word to them.

Actually Ferrari COULD have everyone disqualified for using their intellectual property as *all* cars now use a paddle-shift gearbox, a Ferrari invention. They're bound to try it too, cos if they cannae win with speed, they win with lawyers.

Too right mate and there's heaps of skeleton's in the Ferrari closet which could - and arguably should, have seem them banned long ago. Hopefully Stepney may shed some light on this as/when the Italian court case against him comes around - hopefully he should provide some juicy revelations on Ferrari's recent shenanigan's Still bring on Spa and lets hope Raikonnen, Massa, Alonso and Hamilton have some fireworks along the way! f1 has always been great to have an afternoon nap to. some of my best sunday kips are when the f1 has been on. in the old days of channels 1 to 4.

I have downloaded a few GP's as the direct FIA feed (ie no commentary) and they are great to drift off to. At least until it cuts to an in car shot, that's a rude awakening for sure.

It's one of the reasons I miss Murray Walker, his incoherent screeching kept even shit races interesting.

As for Sunday, Well Alonso wants twatting, and there should be a law that if nobody is racing at Spa, they have to leave the camera at the top of Eau Rouge on screen so we can at least marvell at car after car taking on God's own corner.
