I haven't seen this mentioned here before and it may or may not interest anyone, but over the last year few years AH Wilson and his wife Yvette were both heavily involved in promoting the great area of our country known as East Lancashire.

Both have put a lot of time and effort into improving many aspects of our area including fashion design studios, fitness centres and generally promoting the area as a whole, which as anyone round here knows really is required.

Anyway I thought I'd just post this info for anyone who is interested. It really is a shame he didn't see the results of his venture. I know Yvette wishes to continue the work and good luck to her and everyone involved.

Check penninelancashire.com Although there doesn't seem to be much going on there yet, I like the touch at the bottom of the image.

Hopefully the seed is big enough to grow in some way.

A lovely part of the world right on our doorstep. The Pennines was once where Lancashire city folk went to unwind. Now we leap on a flight to the continent.

Thanks for doing the links properly. I tried but i just couldnt manage to do it that way. How do you put them up like that?

For the most part it's Basic Cut an Paste.

Take- Cut the link you'd like to use. 1. Hit the 'Link key at the left of the message you're writing.

Paste the the address there. OK. 3. Gives the choice to Edit the name you'd like to call it. OK. Globe Sport. Mystery Solved.

Anyone who's never been to Werneth Low should do.

No trip to the North West is complete without a look up there. You can see Manchester in it's entirety from up there - both footie grounds, the airport and all the way out to Yorkshire, Liverpool and Wales on a clear day. It's the best place in the world to go on Bonfire Night - you can see everyone's fireworks!

And, best of all, there's a pub

Admittedly Kimberley Stuart is a stunner, but I think Penny Lancaster is lovely. Much better than that weird lipped Rachel Hunter (nice bod, but never understood the 'beautiful' tag).

! LOL.. Did see 'Control the other night. Excellent. Found a sense of security knowing that AHW was somehow involved in its Filming when he was still alive..
