Pick 5 bands and the tour (or venue) you wish you'd seen em on !

  1. Gong (Flying Teapot Tour)
  2. Hawkwind (Space Ritual Tour)
  3. David Bowie (Ziggy Tour)
  4. Elvis (late 70's at Vegas)
  5. Beatles (Apple Roof Top)

Please no CURE or DEPECHE gigs, let keep this clean and serious.

Bob Dylan-free trade hall (first electric gig i think)

Joy Division-Birmingham (last gig)

Ramones-(circa '76)

Manic street preachers-(Cambridge university freshers ball)

Blur-Playing in John Peels back garden

I too would have loved the idea of seeing The Beatles playing on the roof of the Abbey Rd studios in 1970 (i think).

Sex Pistols in San Antonio, first US tour, the one where all of the "cowboy faggots" showered 'em with beer cans.

The Birthday Party's first US tour, terrorizing lame-ass "new wave" fans on the east coast.

The Replacements gig in Portland where they shaved their eyebrows, swapped clothes and instruments with the opening band, and drunkenly rumbled through a shambolic set of songs, most of which never got played to the end. Only Mats Oregon gig I ever missed, one bad enough to get a song written about it, "Portland (We're Sorry!). My roommate said it was really, really bad, but slightly amusing nonetheless.

Any Joy Division and Triffids gigs.
