It'll go nicely on my shelf right next to E-Males, One Night in Bangkok, and The Gospel According to Rocket Mick.
Cozzie, I don't mean to be mean or doubtful, but how did you publish this book? Was it self-publishing or a legit publishing company? And, who wrote the summary for your book because, quite frankly, any poetry book about the "pain of adolescence" just strikes me as being very cliche and kind of... emo.
My poetry is not emo, to my standards. The book is self-published through lulu.com. I think One Night in Bangkok used it. I heard about it through a classmate. It looks legit to me.

It's a self-publishing venture. I've looked into it before.
Fuck me...I'm gonna write a book...
it's about a retard that loses his wallet and passport in London...
Stop me if you think that you've heard this one before...

No thanks. I've had the displeasure of reading your blog a couple of times, which is all this will be, a glorified version of your blog.
Chapter One: Fear of Cock Chapter Two: Harvey Keitel betrayed me Chapter Three: Popular Culture Sucks Chapter Four: Everybody hates me. I don't know why. I am so much smarter than them and only my opinions are correct

1st Off Well done Cozzie! You bet me too it. I've only had short stories/journalism published; in little read publications I might add. Best known: to my eternal shame the WRP rag "Newsline" (& The Big Issue). But I've plenty of adolescent poetry/stories "pieces" still lying around. (As well as my unfinished masterpiece.) I'll maybe even put a few on here and give you a laugh!
BTW I Didn't think

was a particularly cleaver, or kind, thing to say! Have you actually tried reading it? Revenge is something I can certainly associate with.
"You believe in youth The history of all truth A heart that's left at home Becomes a heart of stone...
You believe in truth The lies we told of youth."

Chapter One: Fear of Cock Chapter Two: Harvey Keitel has let me Down Chapter Three: Popular Culture Sucks. Chapter Four: Everybody hates me. I don't know why. I am so much smarter than them and only my opinions are correct.
That's very nearly my book; "For Falkirk Sake: Get A Falkirking Grip!"
Chapter One:"Fear a'Fanny Fae Falkirk (Ye Ken eh!?)
Chapter Two:The Proletariat has let me down.
Chapter Three: "The Ruling ideology is the ideology of the ruling class": or he who pays the piper calls the tune! (To Answer Your Question JHC/EB) Q)1.
Chapter Four: Theory of Alienation" In modern industrial production under capitalist conditions workers inevitably lose control of our lives by losing control of our work, and what we produce. We cease to be autonomous beings in any significant sense.
The main aspect of alienation is the separation of work or labour from the worker, and separation of the products of labour from the worker. Both are appropriated by the capitalists* and controlled by them, dominating the worker. We are alienated from the essence of ourselves (praxis) and thus from humanity itself.
Q)1. How does the Army (or any organization) keep the soldiers from understanding the 'truth' in the 21st century? That's just silly, since they can all watch all the news programs just like you can...
A)1.(Aye The News that Fox, Rupert Murdoch, The Scum, Daily Express/Daily Hate Mail, etc etc and their owners; the pipers paymasters, see fit to print).
*(Private Capital in the west and State Capital in China, Cuba, the USSR etc). Praxis: another discussion for another time/place.
Fair play to you Coz, hope some people read it. Might have been easier to copy out some Smiths lyrics though!
Congrats, Cozzie! One so young too.
Poetry is absolutely wasted on me, but congrats anyways! ![]()
Er, isn't this what we generally refer to in dear old Blighty as "vanity publishing"?
And, if so, why not just place it on t'interweb where a lot more people will see it....

I don't get the big deal with this "vanity publishing" it's not alright to write for love, fame, or arts sake, but it is alright to publish for greed (money)!
Plenty of great writers/artists were ignored in their own time/by their peers.
(Of course some vanity publishing is written by whacked out nut jobs
, but some-cunt payed Jeffrey Archer & Erich von Däniken and a multitude of other illiterates.)
Have you read "Harry Snotter"?
"Shite...shite...wizard...shite...muggles...shite".
Mass popularity is for sheep!
"And we're not like All those stupid people Who can't decide Which book to read Unless the paper Sows the seed"
(Not sows deceit as some numpty-nae-brains
has it on here!)

Travel guides are becoming more and more popular. You could write a book named "How Not To Travel In England". The first chapter would be about losing the wallet and passport in London. The second one would be about getting the wrong train in Wolverhampton. I'm sure you have enough material to write hundreds of pages.

Well, if you're doing it for "art" or "love", why bother publishing it? And if you want "fame" you're much better off putting something on the internet where it's available free to just about anyone - after all, who buys the very limited print runs of vanity-published books beyond close family and friends??
It's not called 'vanity publishing' for nothing - it's narcissism, pure and simple.

And, like the internet, anyone can do it, as long as you have the money. You don't need a worthwhile manuscript or an agent. I don't consider self-publishing to truly be releasing a book because a.) no one will read it and b.) you don't really have much artistic cred or proof as to why you should be getting published. Basically, it's getting published in your mind.

Have to admit I agree with this logic, especially when it comes to poetry. There are so many magazines that publish individual's works that would give credibility to the author...
I'm gonna make a book with lot's of piccies of nekkid females...
think I can get that published???

You need credibility, and as such you will need editing by a real editor... send me yer book right away and we'll get this thing off the ground![]()
