Karlheinz Stockhausen, the German musician and composer has died today at the age of 79.

He was an experimental artist and electronic music pioneer. I think it's worth a mention as he was directly and indirectly an influence on many of our favourite bands.

I missed the news completely. OMG, the entire branch of music is gone. Rest in peace.

I loved his generator pieces and electronic operas (Montag).
