Mini=take small simple car and make it big,fat and complex. Beetle=ake small simple car and make it big,fat and complex.

And now the same with the 500.

why doesn't somebody make a small simple car instead of reskinning their other models (Beetle is a Polo, this thing is apparently a Panda)

Mum liked it so much she had two of them. The one with the suicide doors was her first. The one in the pic I posted, yes that's me, cost $500 to ship to Australia. A backyard mechanic eventually converted it to right had drive. According to reports it is still going strong.

We didn't need seat belts in them days. We lived. Child seat forget it. We just took the front passenger seat out and fitted my brother's pram in there. Oh dear.

That reminds me a couple years back I went to visit my wife's parents in Japan. They don't have seatbelt laws and don't quite have a handle of what's safe or not....

.. and there beside us, was this 3 month old baby in the passenger seat, in a canvas shopping bag, with the seatbelt through the handles of the bag:eek:
